Went in on Feb 23 around 3:30 and no one was at the front desk. I could hear people in the back talking about working in a nursing home so after awhile I tried calling the phone and it rang but was turned down and no one came to answer. I thought about walking back there as the door was unlocked but figured if the place was that bad I didn’t want medical care there. Also notice in video bell is behind window.
From my first phone call, Kelsey was kind and helpful. When I arrived Whitney was also kind and patient. Then my appointment, I felt Chelsea listened and understood my concerns. And Braxton, well he is a darling!! People who care and listen are rare these days. I love knowing I can come here and get help from people who care about my health.
I might be just commuting to Eldo from now on. For a bit of insight, i hardly ever go to the doctors if i can help it, i would rather push through an illness then see one. A majority of my interactions with doctors is that they barely look me over, provide pills and send me an outrageous bill. So recently my throat has been swollen like none other. At this point I had not ate for 24 hours. I finally caved and saw Sonja who referred me to an ENT to remove my tonsils and then gave me a steroid shot which helped temporarily but then i got worse again. I then called asking if i should come back due to my throat being worse again to where they said yes. This next go around I went and saw Chelsay Langford. Doctors like these is why i don’t go to doctors and hope i can just push through it. She took a .5 second look in my throat and said it was strep without any testing even though YESTERDAY i was tested and was negative for it. But i suppose there are many types of strep they don’t test for that exist and she could tell by a mere flash into my throat. She gave me antibiotics and sent me on my way. I am so sorry that my ailment isn’t worth your time. I’m a single parent and unfortunately for you, would like to still be a parent and not suffocate slowly. This is day 2 of being on my medication and no, i don’t feel even remotely better, i still haven’t been able to eat (day 4 now of no food) and now i feel unwelcomed back. Thank you for proving my point on why i DONT go to doctors. They wont help you, but they are more than happy to send you a bill for it!
Zimmerman is especially bad here. Came in for a covid test for work, showing Covid symptoms, live with two other people that had recently also tested positive for Covid at their drs offices, she refused a Covid test and instead insisted its meningitis and wanted to do testing for meningitis. Went to a different dr the same day and tested positive for Covid. I know someone else who came in for infected bug bites, this person saw the bugs, felt the bugs biting, saw the bites which later became inflamed and infected, Zimmerman and her NP diagnosed this person with shingles. Very little evidence to suggest it was shingles other than the location of the bites. My friend went to their primary and surprise, it’s not shingles it was infected bug bites. Does Zimmerman get more money for making more extreme diagnosis? If you come in with a concussion be aware, she will diagnose you with brain cancer.
One bad egg really can stink up the whole basket. Unfortunately, that has been the case with my NowCare experience. Good facility, quick service, intelligent and eloquent care providers for the most part. 3 stars instead of 5 because of a specific provider by the name of Braxton who simply put should not have a job in medicine. This man came off like a rude and indifferent teenager working as a grocery store cashier at a summer job they think they’re too good for. He said maybe 3 sentences and probably 20 words the entire time he was in the room with my wife and I, none of which included anything like “Hi, I’m Braxton. I’ll be drawing your blood today.” He straight up ignored my wife 3 times that I was able to directly witness, he failed to get 2 of the 3 blood vials he needed to test for tick born diseases (the reason we were there), didn’t try again, and he managed to blow out a vein in her arm quite badly. My wife just spent multiple weeks hospitalized postpartum and had her blood drawn daily, sometimes multiple times a day, and never had this issue. Braxton is rude and incompetent. We will likely avoid this clinic moving forward as a result.
