Issurah K.

I have had a great experience with this office. When I arrived for my appointment, there was some type of disturbance occurring from another office in the building. It was really loud. Even through this upsetting situation the front desk staff remained calm while also trying to get security to handle the situation. I hope they went home & did self care after that! Back to my appointment… After my PCP referred me they called me promptly & I was able to get in. I’ve had a plantar wart on my foot for 9 years. I tried OTC methods, duct tape, bentonite clay, etc. I’d cut the wart off, it would grow back. Ughhh… after noticing some new moles on my back I asked my PCP for a referral to dermatology. By this point the wart was hurting during my exercises. I am happy to report the treatment received in office & after following the instructions that were sent home my wart came off last night! I feel free! My foot feels good & looks pretty. I know that is silly for some people, but this means a lot to me. Also, I was comfortable with the treatment plan for the moles. I felt the provider did a great job of explaining my options, she was polite & allowed me to feel that I have autonomy over the decision for my health. I am so grateful to this office!

I have mixed feelings about my recent visit. While the staff was polite, their communication felt robotic and impersonal, leaving me uncomfortable with the overall experience. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a prominent sign emphasizing punitive cancellation and late fees, which set a negative tone despite being on time. During my exam—conducted by a nurse practitioner, not the doctor as I expected for a new patient—there were repeated interruptions, knocking on the door, which were explained as time management reminders. My appointment lasted about ten minutes. I like efficiency, but this didn’t feel right especially when the first knock came five minutes into the visit and she seemed distracted by it and had to respond each time (total of three times) to tell them she was okay. “I am okay”, she said each time. When I inquired about examining my scalp, the nurse practitioner seemed hesitant and suggested that such issues are usually noticed by hairdressers. I found this response dismissive and unprofessional, especially as I had concerns that should have been addressed. Additionally, a prescription that was supposed to be called in never reached my pharmacy. I referenced previous procedures and she kept saying they don’t have access to previous records. I said, I would be happy to make them accessible, but she said they don’t participate in MyChart because they are a private practice. I was baffled and thought surely there would be a way for them to see my previous record even still. She made my past history seem irrelevant and seemed very proud that they didn’t participate in MyChart — a platform that makes communication easier for patients, something I value yet she dismissed and offered no other communication tool. I wish I had understood this upfront. Perhaps I should have known. As a business owner who prioritizes customer care, I can see that this office prioritizes other aspects over patient experience. I still have unresolved health concerns and will seek care elsewhere where patient experience is better valued. Too many issues occurred during this visit for me to return.

I was suffering sever dermatitis in my scalp, hair thinning, it was really upsetting. After months of trying to clear it I went here and it was gone in about 10 days! Accurate diagnosis and medication, they worked me into their schedule very quickly, great staff!

Dr. Amato’s office is welcoming and filled with friendly staff. Taylor, the Medical Aesthetician, is amazing. Her knowledge and professionalism are top-notch. She will take the time to understand your skin type and concerns. I always notice an immediate improvement in my skin’s texture and radiance after a visit. I highly recommend to anyone who is looking for quality and effective dermatology services.
