Today was my first time visiting Town Center Dermatology. I was nervous going in, but the staff immediately made me feel at ease. They were so friendly & kind, and they got me in to see the P.A. right away. I saw Skylar Bair, PA-C and she was awesome. She was knowledgeable and answered all of my questions! She does a great job of balancing professionalism and a great bed-side manner. I 100% recommend going to their office for all of your dermatological needs.
I hate to leave negative reviews but I feel obligated to warn other parents. I was recommended this practice by a friend whose daughter was treated for molluscum (by the MD). I took the soonest appointment I could get which was 3 months out with a PA. The PA applied the molluscum treatment all over my daughter’s body (her molluscum is very extensive, all over her groin, legs, feet, and torso) and gave the impression that she would feel no more than minor pain. She said the bumps would blister overnight and made it overall sound like a benign treatment. The blistering started within 30 minutes and I have never seen my daughter in such severe pain. She has been lying down, crying on and off for 24 hours straight with nearly no appetite, terrified to use the bathroom, and unable to walk, with blisters covering half her body. The PA placed band aids all over her, so I tried to remove them and the blisters are all popped and oozing everywhere, and I’m not sure what I can/should do about that. I called the office to ask for advice and was brushed off by the receptionist and sent to voicemail. I did not give informed consent for this treatment because I was not informed of the potential to cause severe pain. For this young of a child (age 3) I feel they should have treated a smaller area to begin with. I had no idea my child would be in severe pain and have to miss school for multiple days, and I have no idea when this will resolve. I’ve never felt so misinformed and mistreated by a medical provider in my life. ETA: I revised my star review because I don't want to bring down the average (I understand how important reviews are). The physician called me and explained things and was very kind. I'm still upset about the whole situation but the follow up was helpful and gave me additional information.
Just left Dr. Kling's office and had a great experience. I was running 10 minutes late but never felt inconvenienced or rushed by the front office staff. I was brought back to the room by one of the nurses and then just a few minutes later Allison, nurse practitioner, came in. She made me feel very welcome as we shared a brief conversation. I then received a thorough exam. She was very down to earth, polite, yet very professional. I felt very confident in her skills. I could not have been happier with my experience!
Had an initial appointment for my son that we booked months ago. We drove from Eureka and arrived 15 mins early for a 1:15pm appointment. Specifically chose that time because of another appointment he had scheduled at 3pm - we were assured he would be seen in plenty of time to make the next appointment. My son was roomed at 1:20 and sat in the exam room until 1:55. No one came in during that entire time. Coming out of the exam room, it was obvious no one was "on the way" to see him. When we explained we had been in the exam room for 35 minutes and couldn't wait any longer, the staff member seemed surprised (as if we had been forgotten). Other members of the admin/nursing staff in the room seemed amused, covering up giggles and knowing looks. Never was an explanation offered for the delay, but worse, never was an apology offered for the waste of our time (waiting weeks for the appointment, the drive time to/from our home, sitting in an office for over 30 minutes, and now having to schedule another appointment elsewhere). I am a private practice clinic owner and see 50 patients a day. Mistakes can and do happen. Had any apology been made or any semblence of remorse been shown, had the staff immediately alerted the physician with the possibility that he examined my son or had the physician/manager contacted us later to discuss the oversight, this could have been overlooked. As it is, we are absolutely dissatisfied with the treatment we received.
Dr. Kling is very personable and down to earth! I liked him very much! This was my 1st time seeing him. He was very patient with my questions. Innovative in his methods of treatment! I highly recommend Dr. Kling! Especially if Melanoma is in your family's medical history! His staff are very helpful and friendly.
