SALON G AND SPA

I have been doing business with Hair bar New York City for probably 15 years. I have never had a problem. I was so thrilled to see that a franchise had opened up closer to my home still an hour and 20 minutes away. My daughter and I drove for our Keratin Scheduled for 10 AM on a Saturday. When we arrived, we told the computers were down and they had no way to confirm that we had an appointment even though I had it on my text and a confirmation through an email. We were told They had had no way to get in touch with us. One stylist had called out sick and I don’t know what happened to the stylist we were told that one stylist would be in in 15 minutes so I said I would come in a later date. My daughter had her hair washed and was sitting and waiting for 45 minutes. No one showed up eventually we got up and left. Life went on in the salon. People came and went, there was absolutely no remorse other than I’m sorry it looked as though they could care less. Seems so odd to us that there were so many people getting taken care of at the salon. She and I were the two that had no stylist. Well, it’s back to New York. It’s a bigger trip but they are courteous and caring and always follow up. Good luck to you North Brunswick. You have lost two clients who would’ve been to see you four times a year.

I got the 24 K Hairbar keratin treatment. My hair came out perfect. The owner and staff were welcoming, professional, and nice. So happy this salon is offering the hair treatment. Now I can get it without travelling to Long Island and NYC. Thanks

Thania does a great job with my nails (acrylics) and is very accommodating if I want to change the style or ask for adjustments. And she makes them look seamless and natural. Overall the salon is nice and clean. I never have to wait too long for an appointment.

I called to make an appointment for a keratin treatment today after seeing availability on their website for 4:30 PM today. When I called, the secretary answering the phone told me she’d call me back. I waited a while and received no call. Then I called back several times and she kept hanging up the phone. Finally after 5 tries she answered and asked if I was using a Groupon. When I said yes she said there were no appointments available for 2 weeks. A note to salon G - If you’re not willing to honor a Groupon please do not have the promotion. It’s that simple. Stay away from this place.

Bought a groupon for a keratin treatment. Made an appt. Arrived for appt and was told they had no record of it and they were not accepting groupons. Did not try to make it right, reschedule, apologize or anything. Like they don’t care to get new clients? Horrible customer service.
