Schweiger Dermatology Group - Hamburg

I had my first visit with this group recently and I had a Wonderful experience. The girl at the desk was as sweet as can be, and she got me all set up with finalizing my paperwork and insurance details. My provider was Bridget and she was attentive, thorough, and an absolute delight during my appointment. She answered a few questions that I had and I did not feel rushed at all.... she took the time we needed.

I'm very impressed with the office and staff. I was greeted by the girl behind the desk with a smile, I didn't have to wait long un the waiting room, I prefer to be called Cathy rather then Catherine, and they did so. Brigid was amazing! She spent as much time with me as needed and answered all my questions and was very concerned about my issues. I would highly recommend this office!

UPDATE: After posting my initial review, I received a generic response directing me to email a “Solution Team.” This response feels impersonal and dismissive, further solidifying my frustration with Schweiger Dermatology Group. I’ve already scheduled with a local provider who was happy to provide personalized and compassionate care—something sorely lacking here. The existence of a "Solution Team" email itself should be a red flag for anyone considering their services. I’ve lowered my rating to 1 star to reflect this disappointing follow-up. Unfortunately, my experience with Schweiger Dermatology Group - Hamburg has been disappointing. Twice now, I’ve received text notifications stating that the doctors were no longer available to accommodate my son’s previously scheduled appointments, pushing them out by at least an additional month each time. Today, I called the Hamburg office to better understand why this was happening and whether there was another doctor or location that could see my son sooner. Despite being told my wait to speak to the office was "less than one minute," I waited over five minutes before being connected. The representative claimed to be from the Hamburg office, but when I pressed further, he admitted he was in a call center in Manhattan. He was asking for all of my son's identifying information, which felt impersonal and disconnected from the care we were seeking. This small family office in charming Hamburg, NY, seems unable to provide personalized service to its patients. Pushing appointments off via text without proper explanation and offering no immediate solutions is simply unsatisfactory. I expect better communication and care from a local office that should prioritize its community.

If i could give this place 0 stars i would. After my appointment being canceled 3x and rescheduled. I have shown up today and the doors are locked with no notice that the office was closed today. This is beyond ridiculous and unprofessional. Will be looking for a new place to go.

When I show up for my appointment in the office everyone is very professional and friendly. Their phone service sucks, I do not want to speak to them. I want to speak to a knowledgeable person in the office. Last Monday, 11/25/24, I had to deal with the incompetence of their phone service, the last girl I spoke to went so far as to tell me “the office was closed today” . Later on that sat someone from scheduling called me, I said, I was told your office was closed today. WTH. Get rid of your phone service and hire someone within the office. I wasn’t going to write a review, but after reading the other comments regarding the phone service I chose to do a review
