Hefter Dermatology

I was referred to Dr. Hefter by my physician and he was amazing. After visiting other dermatologists who did not help he, he diagnosed my problem and began treating it immediately. He was very patient and took his time during all the appointments without rushing. Dr Hefter and the office staff always greeted me with a smile and made me feel welcomed. I highly recommend this doctor for all dermatology needs.

Dr. Hefter is a very caring and professional dermatologist. My mother, my sister, her family and my daughters were and are very grateful for the quality of care and positive outcomes we received under his care. I am a pharmacist and have dealt with many physicians over my 45 year career and Dr. Hefter is one of the finest practitioners I have known. Hi there!!! Let me commence by saying that I live in New Jersey and Dr. Hefter’s practice is in New York. In order to arrive for a 10:30 AM appointment, I must leave my house at five in the morning, thereby avoiding the morning rush hour. During peak traffic, the drive would take four hours . I believe this is a telling indication of how valuable, in my humble ( yet experienced) opinion, Dr. Hefter is, in so many ways. I did visit a dermatologist in New Jersey but the diagnosis and guidelines given to me really left me confused, bewildered and with no clear direction or guidelines whatsoever. I felt worse leaving the office visit. Without a true answer or protocol on how to move forward with my dermatological dilemma, I knew I had to go to Dr. Hefter. I needed clarity, information, peace of mind and tools for improvement .I’m just thrilled that I’m able to do so,and that I know about such a fantastic doctor. My father was treated by Dr. Hefter for many, many years. He tended to the myriad serious needs of my beloved father. For years,my Dad spoke with such deep affection for Dr Hefter. That is how I know of him, although residing in New Jersey. And Dr. Hefter gave my father excellent recommendations for other specialists that Dad needed as he aged. I don’t write reviews online. But this is important. When you need a doctor, a good doctor, you are more than willing travel for one. Referrals and online reviews are crucial for informed decision making. Dr. Hefter is the consummate professional. He is meticulous and thorough. The good Dr. is completely present and fully focused on you at that moment. He is truly a gifted and brilliant physician. I trust his observations implicitly and completely. Not only is he an excellent dermatologist, he is a wonderful, kind human being. He’s interested in you; he asks you questions and makes you comfortable, alleviating your concerns. He just neutralizes all my worrying and fretting with his kind, composed, compassionate demeanor. I never feel rushed. I bring my list of questions and he answers every question thoughtfully and completely. I am grateful to know I have a doctor like Dr. Hefter on my wellness team. When one has health concerns what is more paramount than the trust you have in your doctors’ experienced assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and manner. Truth, knowledge, and honesty are powerful. I am a patient of Dr. Hefter for the past 20 years. I went to him during this time with many big and small skin problems, and he ALWAYS helped. He seriously is one of the best dermatologists in Tri State area! as well as his Staff; nice, helpful and professional. Few of my friends / colleagues had a serious skin problems, went to many doctors before, and only Dr Hefter was able to help them. About two years ago I started experiencing great discomfort due to a major rash on my body. After seeing several dermatologists, my symptoms did not subside and a family member suggested I see Dr Hefter. After one appointment with him, my rash was significantly reduced and was gone shortly thereafter.
