Schweiger Dermatology Group - Yonkers Ave

I had a really great experience at Schweiger Dermatologist Group. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a smile and felt welcomed. I was Actually scheduled for a different day and didn’t notice, they were able to squeeze me in so I was able to be seen. The Dr was amazing and knowledgeable she went above and beyond to make sure she helped me with all my concerns. Schweiger Dermatologist Group Thank you 🙏🏽

I began visiting this practice in August, and I couldn't be happier about it. Alexis Devens is truly exceptional; her bedside manner is wonderful, and she has effectively addressed and treated all my concerns. The assistant Avonte is a treasure; she is consistently friendly and supportive, making it easy for me to discuss issues I'm self-conscious about. I always anticipate my appointments and leave each time feeling very satisfied. Based on my experience, I highly recommend this practice.

This is also my first bad review so that says A LOT. The staff just let me sit in the waiting room for 45 minutes without telling me what I’m waiting for. I had to ask if they were waiting for my referral, something they could’ve told me 40 MINUTES ago. My insurance said they absolutely could’ve seen me without my referral but of course they never mentioned that to me. The lack of communication was so weird. I would never go back if I don’t have to.

I visited the Schweiger Dermatology Group location on Yonkers Avenue for an appointment, and have to say the staff is wonderful! I noticed a bump near my nose where I previously had a skin cancer lesion removed, and panicked when I saw a bump near the same area on my nose. I was greeted with warmth, and welcomed with a smile and showed friendliness. I think customer service is extremely important when interacting with the public, and the two ladies get a 10 all across the board. I also want to mention Kelsey ( I think I spelled her name wrong) and the other lady who I completely forgot her name, treated me with friendliness, and a smile . Kelsey and the other lady listened to my issue with my concern, and put me at ease by sharing her knowledge and expertise of the issue I had. I felt that she is knowledgeable and I was satisfied with her examination and outcome.

Absolutely horrible customer service ! It is absolutely crazy to keep telling someone their insurance REQUIRES a referral. I work with insurances I am well aware that I do not need one…. The receptionist didn’t call my insurance at all but decided to argue with me instead ! I have been to over 5 specialist with my insurance because I am disabled and never have had to have one. Don’t waste your time if you’re looking for an office to listen to you!
