I debated writing this review, but after thinking about it, I want to post this. I had been going to this salon for over 2 years at the time of my last appointment. Of course, it had been around a year since my last appointment before these nails. I had gone in and was treated strangely when I was trying to make an appointment. Come to find out, my previous nail tech had left. I did not care and still wanted to get my nails done there. And I did. I specifically said that I wanted short almond gelx nails. The nail tech then did acrylic and some of the nails ended up round. I went with it, knowing I could reshape them at home if needed. I paid 135 for these, which would be less than 100 anywhere else. After I had left the salon, quite a while later actually, I had some tenderness in some of my nails, which I mistook as an allergic reaction. I went back to ask for a refund, partial or full, and for them to be taken off. I made an appointment for roughly 30 minutes later. So I left to kill some time. About 10 minutes after I left, I got a call letting me know that I was not getting that refund and that I was being fired as a client because I made them "uncomfortable". Beforehand though, I talked with the owner about how I found somewhere else that would do gelx for cheaper, I was then basically called "uneducated" because I was "getting scammed because this is an expensive product," and that I was "not getting the official thing." But whatever. I went somewhere else to get them taken off as they were still causing me pain. Come to find out, as they were taken my nails off, that they literally popped off like press ons. Meaning my nails were not prepped properly. Not all of the nails popped off though. But while we were taking those off, the nail tech let me know that the nail polish/acrylic was not cured properly and they were curling into itself, and in turn, into my nail. I got my nails fixed, with gelx, at that other salon for cheaper. I proceed to tell my family, who also went to that salon, my story. My mother then writes a review. And guess what. The owner responds. From what I got from reading that response, I was called broke and uneducated. From my experience, their clientele are mostly older people, not people near my age, gen z. I would not recommend this place to anyone who wants anything that isnt simple plain colors. Its sad to see how this place went downhill, but thats what happens when you only cater to a more specific age group. Also, I am quite educated on nail cosmetology, since I do my own nails and have done my research, but I digress, to the owner, I am wrong broke and uneducated. Right?
Daughter went to get gelx manicure, they did acrylic instead. They did a very poor job. Bubbled and popped off in less than 24 hrs. They were crooked, and looks like a 2yr old painted them. When she returned that evening they would not take off the remaining nails, nor give a full or partial refund. Then called and refused to take her as a client again. Cost $135. Will never go back and encourage everyone to avoid, unless u want to lose money on bed work! Response to owner...since I saw the nails myself, and they looked awful and crooked. I believe I will stick with my review of your salon. But you keep trying to save your business. Anyone who gets the level of service she did, won't be back. And your reviews will eventually show that!
My first visit to La-Di-Da but definitely not my last! Had a pedi with Ely and she was wonderful! Very gentle touch and yet very thorough. Brought my own shade of polish and she was fine with that. Have been to other salons where it was not allowed to use personal nail polish.
Carina was amazing! This was my first pedicure and absolutely will not be my last. She was friendly and talked me through the whole process, wonderful experience that I suggest any and everyone try out. Not only was the service great but the ambience and whole vibe of the place is peaceful and relaxed, exactly what we need for a mental health day at the spa! Thanks again Carina, can't wait to come back!
Love both the women there. Today was Mani/Pedi with Hannah. Beautiful artist!
