Arthur Lee Kumpf, II, MD

My four year old was referred to Dr. Kumpf to have two spots removed-one on his face and one on his back. We met with the doctor for a consult prior and he was very patient and answered all of my questions. I come from surgical assisting so I probably had more questions and concerns than most, but he answered all of them and never rushed the process. We discussed all of our options with him and made the decision to start with the spot on my son’s back and to try to remove it with local anesthesia. He prescribed a numbing medication for us to apply one hour before the procedure. The day of the procedure we used the numbing cream and went it. They immediately got us in the room (we even came early), and his nurse or surgical assistant, Sandy, came in so we could discuss together how we think the process should go. They basically let me take charge as mom, and even played along with us as we explained to my son that the doctor would be “erasing” his spot and when she was sterilizing the area, she was “painting it so the doctor knew where to put the eraser.” The whole procedure was performed with my son sitting on my lap facing me and me giving him a big bear hug. They did a great job of hiding the syringes for the lidocaine and it all went so smoothly with no crying or tears from my son. A big thank you the Dr. Kumpf and Sandy!

Dr. Kumpf is by far the best surgeon I could have asked for to treat my wife. He alleviated all our fears especially hers and helped her through it with a gentle demeanor, she is healing up so beautifully he definitely went above and beyond. His staff was very caring and even after surgery when my wife was scared they would make room to see her and help her.

Doctor Kumpf is a great surgeon. He really cares about his work and patients. He did not make me feel like an idiot when I was scared about small things (or bigger things). He is calm and confident, friendly and respectful. I absolutely and highly recommend him. The staff that work with him (nurses, PCA, all of them) are very helpful and took extra time with me to make sure I was comfortable caring for myself after surgery. Not only do I recommend him to others, I would choose him again if I were to have any other procedure.

I went in to see about a getting a mastectomy(top surgery) and from the moment I met him I knew he was confident in helping me. Which in turn made me confident in trusting him. They were always in constant communication with me regarding letters, insurance and making my appointments work around my schedule. It was simple, and his staff made everything so easy and comfortable. Even to the point of addressing me as my preferred name, which not many understand how important it is. Today, I’m 9 days post op.. All I can keep thinking is how much he saved my life. I’ve cried so many times now, seeing how great my chest looks. I finally feel a sense of freedom. Thank you for everything you’ve done for me, Dr. Kumpf. I will forever be grateful. To his staff, thank you as well for your kindness and constant help. It will always be appreciated. -Jace

Would not recommend. Came in for lip filler and scar treatment. Left with the scar in worse condition then I came in. I had to go to another Dr to fix my lip filler and to another doctor for my scar. They were baffled by what he did. I came into the office to discuss my lip filler concerns because it was Not done correctly and immediately migrated, he accused me of body dysmorphia instead of addressing my concerns.
