Mitchell Dermatology

I completed my annual dermatology appointment with Dr. Mitchell yesterday 2/27/2025. I am HIGHLY disappointment with the customers service and medical care provided by Dr. Hope Mitchell. She was extremely condescending with her words while providing my medical explanation regarding my care. When speaking to her regarding my current product care she stated several times that I needed to further explain to her what "Chapstick" is since she was unaware herself even after referencing the brand I utilized that she understood and referenced herself. She not only down talked me and belittled my own understanding multiple times throughout the process, but then proceeded with stating that my skin irritation that I have had is caused by my own usage of multiple products that I have never used before. I reiterated to her that I have only utilized one product since I was 15 years old and this was recommended to me by my MD at the time. She never once apologized to me but often said "Let me try to explain to this to you in terms you may actually understand" which was accommodated with a very condescending look. I was advised from others that they have left her practice solely due to the way she treats and interacts with her patients. This is not the first time she has talked condescending to her patients. Absolutely terrible customers service by the owner of the practice herself. The front desk support was the only friendly interactions received from the two visits I have completed at her practice. When looking for a doctor and medical advise you want to ensure that your MD provides a welcoming and well educated space to receive this information. This was not my experience with Dr. Hope Mitchell.

The experience was fantastic. I didn't know what to expect. I really didn't think about it at all. It was luxurious with a calming feeling. This is what you expect and hope for on an initial visit. The staff was prompt, professional,and neat. The staff's apparel complimented the suite.The specialist was just that, as well as welcoming, with a great professional bedside manner. Her expertise stood out with a great ability to explain what to expect from her services. Thank you for the professionalism and comfort you rendered.

The experience was excellent from the first phone call, to being able to text communicate, and the pre visit reminders. The office is clean and modern inside. I was greeted warmly by team member, Maddie, in the reception area even though she was not involved in my visit. Dr. Mitchell has a friendly and professional bedside manner, she educates you while she assesses your skin and concerns and was right on time as well. I could not have expected much more at my first visit to Dr Mitchell’s office. I look forward to my next appointment.

The staff is friendly, inviting and knowledgeable. I have yet to have a bad experience. Nicole Bergman is attentive. She makes it easy to discuss medical concerns and genuinely seems to listen to her patients.

I found Dr. Mitchell to be very personable and professional. She explained findings as she performed my full body exam and her assistant took notes. She takes her time and is thorough, which isn’t the case with all doctors. Dr. Mitchell was highly recommended to me and I highly recommend her to anyone searching for an exceptional dermatologist!!
