Dr. Hanson and his team (special shout out to Susan) has helped me more in 3 months than any other dermatologist has in the past 30 years. From my first appointment where I was offered hope and assurance, to my continued follow-ups, I've continued to feel cared for, heard and valued as a patient. They've worked hard to help get my medication approved through my insurance, taking the time and stress off my shoulders. Thank you Dr. Hanson and the Knott Street team!

If you go here, be prepared to receive the minimum level of care (and perhaps a good dose of trauma). I prefer to go to providers who center their patients and their well-being. This was not what I experienced at Knott street. I am a survivor of complex trauma, and my visit activated many of my trauma responses. I tend to freeze. I did not experience trauma-informed care. I will do more research when I next select a provider for any medical care. Lesson learned. I was not given bodily autonomy and choice about my care. The provider informed me she was going to do a biopsy right then. I had a lot of fear about this, but was not offered the option to do it another time when I had a support person present. When a person of authority says "I don't like the look of that. I'm going to take a biopsy" it doesn't leave room for doing anything but comply. Neither the provider or their assistant verified the area was numb before the biopsy was taken. It was not. When I confronted the provider later on the phone, she refused to take responsibility. The provider did not inform me that she was going to start the procedure. She walked in the room with the assistant, sat down and cut off the piece of skin while the assistant asked me a question. I was not even informed "I'm going to touch you now". I've never had a provider act this way. When I said "ow" when the provider placed a bandage on the area, she then asked about my numbness and I said I was not numb. She chastised me for not telling her that I wasn't numb. When would I have told her that? She did the procedure before I even knew what was happening, and no one touched the area to verify it was numb. I did leave a message for the clinic owner to call me back regarding my experience, but never heard from anyone at the clinic.

I have gone to both the aesthetic and medical Dermatologist here. Both Dr. McCarthy and Dr. Hanson were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable! Both of them took time to sit down and answer all my questions, concerns, and goals. Dr. McCarthy did sclerotherapy (2x), BBL, and Halo laser for me and I could not be happier with the results so far! The staff are friendly, and the office feels welcoming :). I highly recommend checking out their services- I plan to be back!

Amazing experience! I arrived a bit early for my appointment, they were able to see me right away, the facility was spotless, the receptionist was kind and the entire visit went well. The doctors and nurses were able to answer all of my questions and resolve the issues I was having. I highly recommend Knott Street Dermatology!

I have been here twice before for skin issues and it’s been alright. But I have been trying for 4 weeks to get in contact with the office to make an appointment. I have left now 5 voicemails (it automatically sends you to voicemail after you’ve been on hold for 10 minutes). I have also sent a portal message. At this point I left my 6th voicemail stating I was going to leave a review and call it a day. This is ridiculous patient care and I do not understand why anyone would willingly not call patients back after a month of them trying to contact. Very concerning business practice and I will be choosing elsewhere for both derm AND cosmetic needs. Will update or delete review if I receive a call back by 1/3/2025.
