Long story short, I had a horrible and humiliating experience with a Dr at Penn State Hershey after having an abnormal growth. Dr. McGillis was willing to take the time to give me a second opinion. She was kind and gentle and respected my desire for another set of eyes. No complaints.

I've read the negative reviews and I can't disagree more. I've seen Dr. McGillis twice and will be going for a third surgery shortly. She is an excellent, caring, and careful physician. On my last Mose treatment, I spent all day in the office and it took seven tries to get all the affected area. The reason it took so long was because she was trying to get all the affected tissue without damage to the surrounding area. I really appreciate that level of care, and wouldn't have it any other way. As far as her personality, she's a surgeon not a stand up comic. Surgeons are not known for their winning personality but for their skill and she is no different. I like it that way. As far as her staff, they are the best. I like to joke a lot and the the nurses who took care of me as well as the office staff could give as well as they got from me. We had a good time in spite of the situation. For those of you who wrote the negative reviews, find a funnier doctor. I'll stick with Dr. McGillis.

What an great experience for my facial surgery above my eye! The RN was right on the ball on all my questions and concerns as was the Doctor. My surgery turned into one larger than expected but she did a great job as it ended being across the bridge of my nose. 4 weeks later...I don't see the scar. A positive experience from the first phone call for information till I got the stitches removed. Thank you to all!

I visited a couple of years ago. I was in my twenties, fair skinned, played outdoor sports my whole life, grandfather was a redhead and has had melanoma, I had some worries about some skin lesions, was new to the area, and didn’t know where else to go so I randomly selected this place. I felt like I was a waste of time to them and that my concerns weren’t their concerns. It seems like they only wanted to see people of the elderly population that they knew. Basically I felt like I was in the wrong place for what I needed. Maybe I was? Who knows… I haven’t been back.

Worst most unprofessional doctor I have ever visited. She was in the room for barely five minutes. About one of those minutes was spent looking at my moles. The rest was spent preaching to me about my tan. If you have a tan be aware that if you visit her office she will berate you about it. I can completely understand why none of her staff smiled not even once while I was there. Probably because of the doctors behavior. If it was possible I would give her no stars.
