Dr Amy Basile has been an absolute God send in treating my issue. She conducts thorough examinations, asks all the right questions and seems to actually be genuinely concerned about me. Her bed side manner is excellent. As for the office itself, the front desk person is friendly and helpful, and the doctors assistant is as well. I’ve never waited in the lobby to be taken back for more than a couple of minutes. So when you have a 9:15 appointment, you’ll be in the exam room at 9:15 and seeing the Doctor by 9:20. They respect my time just as much as I respect theirs; that seems rare these days. They also have online scheduling. Highly recommended!
First appointment with Dr Basile. I was extremely impressed with her knowledge and thoroughness concerning my skin problems. She saw me the day after I requested an appointment on line. So glad to meet her. I feel I am in good hands. Julie, her assistant, was very pleasant and helpful in answering any questions about self care. I definitely will be returning.
I was seen for allergy testing and had a bad reaction to the tape. Dr said she would call in a prescription for the severe redness and itching. They never told me what they were calling in, and gave the pharmacy the wrong date of birth ( kinda important and considered a med error. Because of this mistake, it took 1 week for me to get the medication, but it read” apply to rash on face”. I didn’t have a facial rash ( another error), and left a message on the “ medical concern “ line for clarification, since I was told I tested allergic to steroids, but the details of alternatives were never discussed with me NEVER received a return call. Be advised the cost billed to insurance is almost $1,000( not including follow up visit), so if you have a high deductible that is important to know
Dr. Basile is rude, dismissive, and clearly one of those doctors that doesn’t like being asked questions (who doesn’t love those!) as she was trying to shut me up and shoo me off the entire appt which lasted about 8 minutes as she rushed through it. No sooner after saying hello, did she start aggressively checking through my scalp, as I was in the middle of trying to tell her my concerns. Couldn’t spend a minute to stand and talk to me face-to-face as if she cared or had time for me. After she was done, she told me to keep doing what I’ve been doing - which wasn’t working hence the second appt (first with another doctor from same practice who wasn’t available today) and then went to leave while I was still asking some questions. Answered them seeming irritated and while she had her hand on the door handle to exit. Had a “don’t care” attitude the entire time and basically told me to just deal with my issue - she couldn’t be bothered. Terrible experience and I will not be returning back to the practice to see her or anyone else there. It’s so disappointing and disheartening to see the way some doctors handle patients these days.
The staff and doctors are amazing. They answered all my questions and made my daughter feel very comfortable. I had another appointment set for CHOP but I’m going to stick with them.
