Horrible stay away, most disorganized, lacking in service, unknowledgable. Dangerous these people can practice medicine. They told my wife she was having a heart attack sent us to the ER, ER doctor said they over reacted, that they could have figured out in the office she was NOT having a heart attack. So if you want extra stress and more bills and on top of it they canceled her up coming surgery because she went to the ER.
This is genuinely one of the most inept offices on the face of this planet. I'll give a brief overview of a recent saga. Put in a prescription refill: 1 week later and I call in asking what the situation is because I specifically put it in early because I have beach trip planned so I'll be out of town. Be informed that the doctor hasn't been in and only works every other week. I'm not sure how that's my problem, but I digress. I stress the importance that this prescription gets filled, and finally, as if contacted for the first time because the front desk didn't do their job the first time, my prescription is sent though...to CVS...as a powder that is used for testing...that costs $5000 and that they obviously don't carry. The pharmacist laughs it off and calls the office quick to have it fixed and it is...except it's 15 fewer pills than I have been prescribed for literally, on record at this office, 9 years. I blow it off because I'm leaving for this trip. Fast forward to now, and after they botched the last fill, I have to call again and the doctor is, of course, out. They also try to accuse me of asking for more medicine when I put in the refill because of his prior botched script. I pull the receipts, they look at my record, and it's clear that they messed up. I get a response of "huh" by the dunce behind the desk. Not an "I'm sorry" or a "my mistake." Absolute garbage customer service. Anyway, avoid this place, these doctors, and these people. If my staff at my job treated our customers like this then the entire crew would be fired and replaced, but I guess they look for this type of attitude.
Need a prescription? Give them at least a week to send it to your pharmacy, don't run out. Need to speak to a receptionist or a nurse? Be prepared to set aside hours of your time. They won't call you back so you need to get a hold of them. Need an MRI because of a herniated disc? Go see a specialist because they won't answer the phone when the insurance company calls them for additional info. It'll get denied. Doesn't matter the amount of pain you're in everyday. Just don't waste your time. It's bad.
Formerly a good doctor's office. I don't know what has happened in recent years, but I'll be finding a new family doctor here soon. Not only will you show up on time and expect to wait around for potentially hours to see somebody, but the actual visit is mediocre at best as well. Often times I'm left confused about a follow-up or I'm missing something. For example, I had recently gotten several immunizations, and I was told that I needed a follow-up shot for one of the immunizations. The logical thing would have been to schedule a follow-up for two-months out to ensure I got the shot. However, there was no follow-up scheduled, and now when I've been calling in to schedule an appointment, they have to schedule weeks out (for a shot?!). I had also called in to get prescriptions refilled, and had asked if I could just have them refilled without seeing the doctor. Surprisingly, they agreed. I tried calling the pharmacy that I pick up from throughout that week to see if my medication came in, but they kept insisting they had not received a refill. Eventually I assumed that Diamontoni had forgotten to send this over and I'd have to make an appointment in person. A month passes and I receive a call from the pharmacy that there was a prescription in my name that had still not been collected. So at some point, Diamontoni sent over the prescription refill to the pharmacy without letting me know. How was I supposed to know that they finally sent that over? Until recently, all of these things were just minor inconveniences, however the past several weeks have pushed me over the edge and convinced me to find a new doctor. I have been trying to get an immunization that I need for school records, and I scheduled an appointment (this was for over a week later). When I was on my way to the office, I used the mobile check-in to confirm my appointment and when I did, it told me that my appointment had been cancelled. So I called them and asked them why my appointment was cancelled. They told me that it was cancelled on my end and they even told me the specific time. I wasn't even awake at that time. So I asked if they could fit me in since it was just another shot. They said no, they could get me in after another week. I told them fine, but if it happens again, can you put a note in that indicating that I did not cancel the appointment and that I will be at that next appointment. The receptionist agreed and put a note into the appointment (this receptionist was amazing and helpful, and I hope he steers clear from Diamontoni in his future endeavors). A week passes and it's the morning of the day I have the appointment. I go to confirm my appointment again: "This request is for a cancelled appointment and is no longer available." My appointment had been cancelled again, despite my clear instructions that I. would. not. cancel. the. appointment. So I called them again (this receptionist was not as nice, and insisted on talking over me), indicating that my appointment had been cancelled twice now despite me not cancelling either. I even explained how I explicitly asked the previous receptionist to put a note in saying that I WILL be at that appointment. This new receptionist told me that in the future, I need to confirm my appointment with the staff physically. Okay. So how is me telling the previous receptionist: "I will be at that appointment. I am not cancelling it. Put a note in." not confirming the appointment with the staff? Miraculously, I was able to be fit in 15 minutes before my appointment was supposed to be scheduled for (they probably cancelled somebody else's appointment). This was probably my last exchange with Diamontoni & Associates. This whole debacle was over a stupid immunization. But imagine if this was actually a more serious, or chronic condition that you have, and this office is essentially playing games with your life. The wait time is insane, and you're gambling on whether they still have your appointment or not. And don't even get me started on insurance and the price...
Used to love Dr James when he was there but ever since he left the service has been horrible. We can never get someone in the phone most times. Had to call another branch off and the girl tells me that’s normal not to be able to get a hold of them. Got an apt and took weeks for anyone to call back. Got an apt after being completely bounced around even when the office manager promised a call back in 30 minutes (had to call back myself 3 hours later). Then finally have an apt even though the dr knows what’s wrong and just needs to prescribe one thing they call and cancel and say they can’t get us in for weeks. Completely horrible experience. At least the receptionist is nice
