Steel Family Medicine

The care I have received here was always good. I went in the other day for a flu shot, which I assumed was free. Because they bill it to your insurance. A couple weeks go by and I get a bill for 22 dollars. I had an appointment today and question the receptionist about the bill. She said the insurance covered the shot but they charge for a nurses visit to administer it. The nurses visit consisted of stepping on a scale and asking which arm. I have never been charged for a flu shot. I could go to 50 other places that will not charge you. If you are going to surprise bill people for services that are typically free, then you should advertise the cost of service. If this is the way they conduct business I want no part of it. Total money grab. Check your bill and make sure they are coding correctly.

If you want the best patient care experience for you and your family, this is where you go. I drive from the sango area for myself and my whole family because steele family medicine is worth it. FNP Dylan and Karen are always amazing and I recommend them to everyone I know.

At the ripe age of 39, I’ve never felt more involved with my healthcare from any other provider. Steel Family Medicine has several providers that are Veterans and being one myself, they understand the little things that I need. One example is straight to the punch. They don’t sugar coat anything and are as direct as possible. The providers at SFM are true healthcare providers. I refused to have a PCM once I got out of the military but it was time I got some help. My wife kept telling me to give them a shot and when I did, I became so very grateful. To all the staff at SFM, you guys are a blessing to us and I thank you, sincerely.

I have been seeing Amanda Kralick, NP, and she has been amazing!! Would highly recommend her if you’re needing a new primary care Dr! Their weight loss classes and their weight loss options are great!! Dr. Steele did the class on Saturday and I loved it! Will be having my husband establish care here as well!!!

Karen, is a true professional in every sense of the word. She and the rest of Dr Steel's staff make you feel comfortable and right at home. Well asking key questions to you about your care and also listening to the answer all the way through is with something I noticed she and her staff do. As I have been to doctors over the years before as I've always been concerned about my health to make sure it's on point I've never had a doctor or doctor's office personnel listen as intently without interrupting to hear the whole thought of a patient. This is a blessing. Because in life people often times want to help you finish the sentence. But sometimes the sentence may have a dependent clause and may not quite finish the way you expect it to. Her staff lets you explain it like it is. That helps them know exactly what to do and how to handle any situation. I highly recommend them to anybody. Any newcomer to a doctor or someone like myself has been going to the doctor for years to maintain my health and make sure everything is cool. You will not be disappointed!! Karen and her staff are fantastic!!
