I started going to Dr. Nordquist many years ago, excellent care and would take the time to talk to you . The last few visits have not been very good , from leaving a specimen in the bathroom for days, not testing my bloodwork for the reason I needed bloodwork checked . The last few times I’ve needed a refill my pharmacy says they can’t get the doctors office to call and confirm . Almost impossible to get an appointment with Dr.Nordquist. Not the same level of care as in the past.
My husband and I had been going to Village Primary for many years. We changed from Village P. to another Dr. to make it more convenient to where we live. I got a surprise bill in the the mail from collections for $50 that I didn't even know we owed. I called the office and told them we have not received any past dues. They said it was from a bill when the Dr. called us over the phone for a test result, our insurance didn't cover it. I told them we weren't notified ahead of time about an extra charge for a call like that. I mean it wasn't even for a Dr. sick visit appt over the phone it was a call about a test result. We always pay our bills on time and have excellent credit scores and I didn't appreciate getting a bill from collections for something I didn't even know about. The right thing to do would have been to give a courtesy call before it was sent to collections to let us know and give us a chance to pay since we were long time patients and never had a problem paying our bills. Of course when I called the office all they did was argue with me about how they sent past due bills....Nope....don't know what's wrong with their billing system, we're still at the same address haven't received past due bills or I would have taken care of it. Dr. Nordquist is a great Dr but office practices not so great, glad we left.
I agree with the other recent reviews about the newer, woman who answers the phone. Dr Norquist has been great, as well as most of the other staff but this receptionist is not helpful whatsoever and is rude and nasty. We have also struggled with getting our prescriptions refilled at our pharmacy when requested. It is understandable if an appointment needs to be made for a new refill but they never respond to the pharmacy’s or the patient’s request well before the prescription runs out. I will be finding a new Dr’s office for my family.
Updating a previously 5 star review to a 2 star. In the past several months there’s been a new person at the front desk. This person is rude, unhelpful and has a difficult time with dates when scheduling out. Last week, I called very ill, looking for an appointment and was told there was no availability that day. While I was asking for future availability I was pushed off the phone. This weekend, due to the illness being pneumonia, I was sent to the ER. I just called for a follow up appointment and again, received the same rude person. I adored this place, but a bad hire can take down a location. At this point, I will begin looking elsewhere to avoid an argument over future appointments.
Absolutely love Dr. Nordquist and his wonderful staff. So grateful for a local primary care physician that goes above and beyond to keep you healthy.
