Southwest Dermatology & Vein

I had a positive experience at Southwest Dermatology & Vein. This was my first visit with Dr. Sharp for a full-body check. The office is run very efficiently, with extensive electronic communications, and my wait-time was minimal. Everybody there, from the lady at reception to the physician and her assistant, was friendly and helpful. Dr. Sharp's examination was thorough yet swift and accompanied by clear explanations.

I was nervous to leave this review because I’ve had positive experiences here in the past with different doctors so I plan to return in the future but I felt like I had to write something because my experience today made me cry. I saw Dr. Scott and I felt both unheard and not respected. I tried to voice my concerns but she disregarded me. She basically said she diagnosed someone else with the same thing and it worked for them so it should work for me too (which is the worst excuse because every person is different). I don’t know how she even made a diagnosis because she spent maybe 5 minutes with me and barely looked at my skin or the photos I brought. She never even asked me what I thought was going on with my body. Like I said, I’ve visited here in the past and it was a better experience so I am giving it one more chance with a different doctor but I wanted to share my experience because I feel taken advantage of after having to pay for that. $100 to make me cry and leave me having to wait another month for help doesn’t seem fair.

No waiting time. They took me in right on time. Everyone there was friendly and personable. The doctor was very knowledgeable and easy to communicate with about my needs. Overall It was a very good experience.

The staff is courteous and my examination was timely. Dr Sparks was caring and made sure I was informed. She answered all my questions and recommended appropriate treated for my symptoms which put me at ease. If you’re looking for a dermatologist, I highly recommend her.

I started treatment with Dr. Micheal Graves in February 2024. In February I was given treatment for varicose vein pain. He treated me every week for the month of February, for 8 appointments. He said it would take 3 months to get relief from the pain. I got no relief from the pain. I called the doctor to tell him the pain was still there. Another appointment was scheduled for August 21, 2024. He treated me once again, saying this should take care of the problem. I received two more treatments and went back to the doctor on August 28. August 28 was the last day of my last appointment. On August 28, the doctor told me there was nothing more to do in a tone that made me reminisce as he was angry that we asked him what we should expect. He told me that about 95% of his patients get a good outcome. According to him, I am in the 5th percentile. I am very affected by the pain. I cannot sleep and walking is difficult. My legs swell when I walk for half an hour and the cramps continue. He said there is nothing he can do, he has already done everything. My biggest complaint about this doctor is that he never set any expectations for me at the beginning of our treatment. He just continued the treatment to collect from my insurance. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. Complete rip off.
