Dr. Mays and his assistant Aliana were Wonderful! My visit went very smooth and Dr. Mays listened to everything I had to say and ask and not once was he rude or interrupt me while speaking.

(Review from 2021) Very disappointed with this doctor. Two punch test and still no answers. Didn't even bother to refer to another physician. "Wait it out." He's cold and unprofessional. Don't waste your precious time. UPDATE: I'm glad I didnt "wait it out." The current dermatologist was able to diagnose this rare skin disorder. I have answers.

Dr. Mays successfully cured my two sons of teen aged acne, and later became my dermatologist. I see him annually for a whole body check for skin cancer. He has frozen off a few odd spots and he has snipped off / cut out a few others. He is fast, polite and really, really good. I recommend him to anyone who needs a dermatologist. Also, the UT Physicians system is very good about getting you in and out quickly, and they don't screw up the billing and insurance.

Dr. Mays is incredibly knowledgeable, and his office is very efficient. He has been treating me for 20+ years. He now sees the rest of my family as well.

Wow! What a great visit. Dr Mays is awesome. I saw Dr. Mays' name come up while reading another dermatologist's reviews. Apparently this patient was not happy with that dermatologist, but in their review, they mentioned that they had later visited Dr. Mays practice, and that he had been able to remedy the patient's ailment. I found this helpful, so I called to schedule a new patient appointment. The wait was going to be a few weeks, however, while I was making my appointment with Sylvia, she proactively informed me that they had just received a cancellation. My appointment therefore, turned out to be the next day. Dr Mays assessed my issues and patiently addressed them. He even took the time to print out information explaining my condition. He also gave me options and allowed me to choose the form of my medication. He even offered me coupons for my medication! While searching for a dermatologist I was told over the phone and in the New Patient portals, that their Dr's would only assess one concern per visit. That was not the case at Dr. Mays' practice. Do yourself a favor. If you are in need of a dermatologist.....visit Dr. Mays.
