Update: Wow...The office fails where patient care and appropriate follow up is concerned...that is a major issue, but you get the feeling you are just another number. The people at the front desk keep asking for my insurance card each visit. Really..?? Don't they have it on file already?? This medical practice lost a star in my evaluation. There are many medical providers out there and I can no longer recommend this one to my readers. What a difference a bit of time makes. I started seeing the doctor here for specific treatment. About one month ago, I return for a follow-up appointment and I tell them I am out if medicine. The nurse promptly tells me I should have gotten a blood test. I told her where was that written for me to do a blood test. No response. I go to get what I thought was the appropriate test and the phlebotomists takes my blood for the test. She tells me the doctor's office failed to put in paperwork and tells me I need to call the office to find out when the test order was submitted and for what test. I am told by the office that the paperwork has already been submitted. This was a lie. The pharmacy is calling asking me to contact the doctor's office because they are giving the pharmacy the run around about filling the perscription. I called the dermatologist office only to be told that I need another blood test. The female voice advises that she will contact me as soon as possible after the results are back to ensure that I can go get the medication. I did call and ask what was going on and was told someone would call me back. It has been over a month and I have not gotten that return phone call. I did however get a bill for missing an appointment after I responded to a text message to cancel my upcoming appointment and I did follow up with a phone call to cancel that same appointment. No questions were asked by this office as to whether or not I received the phone call that was promised earlier. Why bother sending out text messages when no one bothers to read or record the responses? Seems to me, this office is definitely after the money and not the patient care. They were quick to follow up on the missed appointment with a $50 office charge for missed appointment, but not perscription medication that I needed nor the pharmacy request. I have found that any doctor's office can be made great by staff personnel keeping patients updated and just good patient care or just return phone calls when promised. Also, responding to the pharmacy calls would be a plus. Initial Review: (6) months ago...This is a modern office with new items that appear in the office. The staff and nurses are very friendly and seem professional.
Let me first say I seldom leave reviews but try to when warranted. I have been going to Flower Mound Dermatology for years now after trying a few local places before going here. We have always seen Dr. Ray Vaughn who is absolutely amazing. This man has amazing experience, a great heart and wonderful bedside manner. He has always gone above and beyond to make sure we are comfortable and understand things. My wife Lauren and I go see him every year and I’ve even sent my sister who also adores Ray. You cannot pick a better place. Also it’s not just Ray but the amazing/wonderful ladies beside him. The entire team gets 5 stars. Thank you to the entire team for going the extra mile for my family and I. You all rock!!! Robert
Very friendly ultra professional. I’d recommend this practice to anyone in the area who wants the absolute best team to help them.
Front office was amazing! Dr. Ray sounds like a nice guy. I was extremely disappointed as I scheduled an appointment to see a doctor, worst case a PA. After my initial consultation, Dr. Ray left the room and assigned a nurse to perform my procedure. I was very close to walking out. Especially after this nurse decided to fix her hair in surgical gloves and then proceeded to perform my procedure using these same gloves. My procedure was considered minor but when paying to see a doctor in a sanitary environment this makes my first visit to this facility somewhat disappointing.
Dr. Perez is GREAT! He is very knowledgeable and treats his patients very nicely. I have NEVER had a problem with getting an appointment or with his treatments.
