Dr. Cobbinah and her entire staff are phenomenal. I've been a patient for 3 years. Both of the Nurse practitioners are amazing staff is friendly. Plus Carmen who handles all of labs is incredible. A special shout out to Julis and Haley they both do a spectacular job. The other staff members i can not recall their names however they are also very much appreciated.

Absolutely love Dr. Cobbinah! She is my PCP and she does my laser hair removal. They have a great text system, which helps an anxious person like me. It does take awhile for some things to be processed but I feel like that is at any clinic, especially if the insurances aren’t cooperating. All in all, I recommend Essential Med Clinic. Dr. Cobbinah is attentive, takes time to educate, and wants to see you healthy and succeed in any health goals you have.

I was referred to this clinic by someone since I was looking for a PCP. I have been struggling with inattentiveness, the inability to focus, and complete tasks. I decided to schedule an appointment to be seen for Adult ADHD. When I called to schedule the appointment, I specifically asked if I be seen as a new patient to be screened and treated for ADHD. "Yes, we can see you as a new patient for that" was told me to over the phone. I thanked the gentlemen and immediately scheduled an appointment online. I arrived at the office 20 minutes BEFORE my appointment (9:45a was my appointment), but didn't get checked into a room until about 10:55. After being checked in, the receptionist told me that my copay would be $150 since I hadn't met my deductible--okay. Then whenever I need medications refilled (which would be every 30 days), I had to be seen by the Doctor again and pay another amount of $80/each time-I complied. The medical assistant asked ALL OF THE SAME QUESTIONS that were in the new patient forms that I had JUST FILLED OUT. That was pretty frustrating because why are you asking me all of these questions again? The Dr. came in and was very standoffish in my opinion. She asked questions about my medical/personal history (medication allergies, surgeries, job, etc) and then asked if I wanted the flu vaccine. I told her no. She then said "What? You don't want the flu vaccine and you work around all those little kids?" NO! I do not want the flu vaccine and IF I did, I would have had it already. She then asks..."What are we seeing you for today?" This is annoying because how do you not know what I'm here for? I begin to tell her I would like to be evaluated/tested for ADHD. She asks what my symptoms are and I begin explaining. She the proceeds to tell me that SHE HAS TO REFER ME TO A PSYCHOLOGIST TO BE EVALUATED AND TESTED. Then from there, I can go to a psychiatrist or return to her office for medicine. Seriously? I have PPO insurance, I could have SKIPPED this phony visit and gone straight to a psychologist. The receptionist SHOULD have told me over the phone that Dr. Cobbinah could NOT DIAGNOSE AND TREAT ADHD and the appointment. She then tells me she will write a referral to a psychology clinic that she uses. The medical assistant tells me its not even in network for me. $150 later and the Dr barely listening to my lungs and heart, and I didn't accomplish what I set out to have done. Don't go to this clinic or see this dr. That's it, that's all.

Nurse Maude and Dr. Cobbinah are fabulous however all of their staff including billing and front desk are absolutely TERRIBLE! Do not recommend anyone deal with the headaches the staff gives. They lack professionalism and knowledge. Filing a claim for questionable insurance billing practices. When you dispute with their office they threaten with sending you to collections.

Dr. Cobbinah is my general practitioner here at Essential Med Clinic. She is amazing and has helped me understand a little more about keeping myself healthy. She suggested cutting down on my consumption of red meat to lower my cholesterol. I was also at risk of hypothyroidism at the time in January of this year. Six months later I get my blood work done and I’m back to normal! She is kind, informative and caring of your needs and concerns. I’ve never had a long wait time and her and her staff are efficient in their care of patients. I highly recommend their practice to anyone needing new and amazing doctor.
