Essential Med Clinic, PLLC - The Office of Dr. Freda Cobbinah

First visit today and I was extremely nervous since I haven’t had much luck with doctors. I immediately felt comfortable , the front desk staff was really kind while dealing with my insurance on the phone. They didn’t rush me during my appointment and the MA that did my intake was very kind and made me feel even more at ease. Dr. Cobbinah was very kind and made me feel comfortable during my appointment. She took what I was concerned about serious and heard me out. Staff was very kind and the office just has a lovely vibe to it. I recommend being seen here. They definitely gained a patient for life !

I have loved having Dr Cobbinah as my PCP. She is extremely knowledgeable, attentive and is always able to get me what I need quickly and efficiently. In the new year she recently had a change of staff and the office and appointments are running super smoothly. Sad I had to leave bc of relocating! Highly recommend! She’s one of the few black woman doctors and it has been an absolute pleasant experience experience with her.

Dr Freda Cobbinah is the most caring doctor I have ever met. She listened to me, I felt very valued and cared for. She ran a lot of test to rule things out. I even once interrupted her on accident. she lets me and heard everything I had to say. After my labs I had extra question and she made time to come back into my room to answer them. GOD always bless her please.

This office is full of crooks and charge incorrectly. Their go to response is call your insurance for EOB. They have no accountability. I spoke to my insurance, and they verified this office was incorrectly charging, yet the office refuses to do their job correctly. They are double-dipping and committing insurance fraud. 😒 Do not go to this office. The drs don't know how to properly assign codes when sending them to insurance. They improperly charge their patients, and I can't imagine how many innocent people are overpaying. Luckily, my wife works in medical billing and caught this issue. They take forever to answer and hardly ever get back to their patients with a response. They are super unprofessional top to bottom. The front desk receptionist are extremely rude. The billing department is basically non-existent. We are currently dealing with a 2nd billing issue, all while having been basically ghosted regarding our first billing issue. Please avoid this office and find a better Dr to seek care.

Every time I visit Essential Med Clinic, the staff are friendly and welcoming, making my entire experience smooth and stress-free. Dr. Cobbinah takes her time to listen to my concerns and provides clear, thorough explanations about my diagnosis and treatment options. Dr. Cobbinah is kind, compassionate, attentive, and very knowledgeable. She genuinely cares about her patients and their well-being. I highly recommend Essential Med Clinic to anyone looking for quality medical care.
