Kim M Ross, MD

Over the years I have been to 3 various locations of Dr. Ross for various dermatology issues. My last visit was for a suspected case of chiggers or mites. I was seen by a PA who thought it was eczema. I disagreed as the afflicted areas were consistent with chigger or mites bites - especially after being in tall grass. He left the room and returned with Dr. Ross. In total there were 4 staff members in the room. Dr. Ross started looking at my face, hands, and arms, mentioning I needed moisturizer and sunblock. I explained I thought it was chiggers or mites, she said it looked like eczema. I have never suffered from eczema. She did check the areas afflicted as well and the bites were not pronounced at the time. I found it arrogant when Dr. Ross said “you know who wrote the articles on scabies? I did.” Seeming to brag in front of her staff on a recent publication she had made. I came across as for me not to question her diagnosis. I had advised my son just visited her La Vernia location for the exact same thing - we had been hunting in the same area with high grass. He was given a prescription geared towards mite symptom. I asked for the same. They wanted a follow up in 2 weeks. I had already decided I was never going back. I was given a steroid shot, which did nothing, and a prescription for Ivermectin (which I requested) to help control the mite situation. I couple days later the chiggers bites became more evident and the itch was severe. It was never eczema. I suffered through the itch and it got finally recovered using OTC remedies. Overall I am not impressed, and I have visited several offices, multiple times in the past. Many visits I have been recommended to use one of the products they stock on location. I know many of their patients or former patients. All mentioned a focus on selling skin care products. Seems as if they are trying to load the cart more than correctly diagnose. For me the arrogance was the final straw.

Showed up today and they said I need to reschedule. PA was out. I told them several times only want to see Dr Kim not a PA. I drove an hour each way. Been going there 10 years. Never again. Getting worse every time I go. 45-hour wait.Plus always trying to sell you something. They said tried to call. BS. No missed call. No voicemail. Just message saying please confirm my appointment.

This was my first ever dermatology appt and I was not pleased at all. When I walked into the office Noone in the front even acknowledged me. I waited and then finally got their attention. They were too busy chit chatting about gossip of another patient. When they finally got me in the back they took awhile to even see me. The Dr was sweet and answered all my questions. The whole time I was there the staff was gossiping about patients and acting like childish high schoolers. They sent a prescription in for my acne and when I went to heb to get it they said that the prescription wasn't even made anymore and they can't get it. They said they sent a notice to the Dr office about it and to wait for a new prescription. I had another appt already scheduled for mole removal and 2 days before that appt came up I called and Noone answered and it said to leave a message. I left a message letting them know to cancel the appt due to them not getting me another prescription and that it will need to be rescheduled because the appt was to see how my face was after the medicine and to also remove moles. I never heard from them again. 2 months later I get a bill saying they charged me for my first appt and also a no show fee for the second appt. Will not be going back.

I'm sorry, but doctor ross doesn't even deserve one star. She didn't even know what I was there for she thought my blood tests were because of my hair. She obviously never read my notes. I was told by her PA4 weeks ago that I had angular chilitis, and I see her Dr. Ross as a follow-up, she tells me all my tests look fine, but yet my iron is high and my B5 is very low. She was concerned as to why I had the test. Then she proceeds to tell me that I don't have angular chilitis, because she showed me pictures and told me, my mouth doesn't look like this. Not everybody has the same symptoms which is fine. I'm not a doctor she tells me because I had lit filler 3 years ago in my lips that it's on the sides of my mouth and I've had COVID and that's what made my lip filler hardened up on the sides of my mouth and it migrated, I just don't know that I had COVID that she has seen many COVID patients. With their filler, harden and not go away for many years, but tell me it's not angular chilitis,BUT LET ME REMIND U I HAVE NEVER HAD COVID.. I MASK UP DUE 2 MY HEALTH AND HUSBANDS 30 PERCENT HEART.. but her PA and my primary doctor said it was. I'm only here because I was recommended to come see a dermatologist. My honest opinion, if she needs to leave the filler alone and be a dermatologist again. I've had filler removal to take out the filler. In my lips, 3 years ago, so there's no trace of filler. She couldn't even look down my throat. To even acknowledge the rash that I have in my throat, but her PA saw it 3 weeks ago, but she doesn't see it... she is very nice woman. Just stuck on what she thinks it is. But it still does not explain why the corners of my mouth are hard but she says it's filler. I would not waste my money here ever again.. i expressed that I wasted my copayment of a hundred dollars to her to be told it was nothing and for her to not even evaluate me, and she said in front of the medical assistant in the room that she doesn't have to charge me, but when I go to check out, I had to pay.My hundred dollar copay.. I guess you needed it more than me.. i drove over an hour and a half to come see her waste of time.. but I guess if you need filler, that's your go too lady, not a dermatologist
