Be aware of deceptive billing practices and coding. Do not go to Ogden Clinic for a primary preventative skin check. I came for a straight forward skin check with no specific lesions I was concerned about. My insurance will cover 100% preventative skin checks like this yearly. There were no concerning lesions and a very quick visit. Honestly, very wonderful, easy and enjoyable. After the visit - I was billed for a complex new patient at a higher level than a skin check which my insurance did not cover. When I inquired with billing - they argued he found observed benign moles and hyperpigmentation (which were the codes I was billed under - ie benign known conditions by myself that I did not come to discuss). Billing said since the physician saw “something” on my skin - this visit was now no longer a preventative visit (we never discussed treatment or the lesions and I was only told I had no concerning lesions). I perplexed as how one could not find ANY type of lesion on an individual’s skin to meet the qualifications Ogden Clinic has for a “preventative skin check” (ie you need perfect skin). There were no concerns by the physician and we did not discuss any treatments etc. I’ve had many preventive skin checks and never had this happen or had any problems with coding or higher billing with other dermatologists.

My husband and I went in for separate skin check appointments this week, both having specific concerns as well as wanting the full skin check. When the PA came in, she let me know right away that she didn’t have time to talk about my concerns AND do a skin check. Implying I could do one or the other. Kind of shocked by this, isn’t that exactly what I scheduled? I spoke as fast as I could since I just paid a $90 copay, which won’t include the portion my insurance will pay her. There’s nothing thorough feeling about the skin checks. I’ve been coming here for years and have tried a couple doctors and I guess I’m just tired of the rush when I’m a perfect candidate for skin cancer and would like to feel cared for. She was in there for MAYBE 10 minutes. I just asked my husband how it went for him and he said he had a super similar experience and was not impressed at all. Would be nice to feel like less of a bother at the doctor’s office.

The receptionist was very helpful and kind. Very efficient. I felt very comfortable there all my questions and concerns were taken care of. The nurse to Dr Hadley was so good and friendly and did a great job. I was so impressed with Dr Mike Hadley. So nice and made me feel like I was getting great care and answered questions completely. The ones that finished the stitches did a great job. Overall very pleased would totally recommend them

April Grohs is hands down the best Master Aesthetician around! She gives the best GLOW jobs. 🤩 I’ve been seeing her for decades and she keeps my face looking sooo good, plump, juicy and flawless like a 30 yo. I have rosacia and old lady age spots but she keeps them at bay and everyone tells me how young I look for my age. It’s all because of her! She’ll also give great advice and recommendations if you’re interested in other treatments. She’s also pretty funny and makes you feel right at home. 🥰

We had such a great experience! I was very impressed with all of the staff. They were all very kind, friendly, and went above and beyond to answer our questions and make us feel comfortable. I would recommend Dr Hadley to anyone as well as his PA and his MA Tobi! Thank you for taking such good care of us!
