Edwards Byron, PA-C

First of all, everyone leaving a review needs to know that Byron Edwards is NOT a doctor. He is a physician’s assistant. Do some research, people. Second, the only thing I get from this guy is charisma which is why people love him so much. He doesn’t know that skin cancer comes in all shapes and colors. Both times I saw him, he was incredibly short with me, and only glanced at me. He told me I was fine and was leaving when I told him to hold on and look at me all over. He straight up told me he only needed to look at one area of the skin to determine if there was anything wrong with the rest of me. I kept insisting and I tried showing him new marks and growths. He just told me I have healthy skin, told me I was doing a good job and left without saying another word. He was training someone this last visit and the lady was doing her best to ignore me completely. When I stopped her to ask her what was going on, she seemed incredibly uncomfortable. I have appointments and medical people I’m seeing every month since having to go to the ER back in March. I’ve had so many health issues come up and almost every medical “professional” I meet with either doesn’t care at all the me, or isn’t knowledgeable enough to know what to do or what things to look for and these people are training the next generation to make horrendous, life threatening mistakes.

I have been to other dermatologists in the past and have never been completely satisfied with any of them. I met with Dr. Edwards today and he was absolutely fantastic. He took care of some skin issues I have had for several months in about 5 minutes. I was told by another dermatologist that the same skin issue could not be fixed and that I just needed to live with it. Dr. Edwards did more for me in 5 minutes than what I have gotten out of any other dermatologist in the past 3 years. Dr. Edwards is very smart (Yale graduate), very personable and took the time to ask me about myself and my life. I was extremely impressed with Dr. Edwards and I have already referred family and friends to him.

Dr Edwards genuinely cares and takes the time to hear you out. Wait times are reasonable, staff is professional and out of all of the dermatologists I have seen over the years in Utah County I finally found one that I want to stay with. He knows his stuff and is still personable.

Dr. Byron Edwards has been my dermatologist for at least 10 years. Aside from the fact that he is very thorough each time I visit, the best thing about him is that he spends the extra time to get to know his patients on a personal level. He knows what we talked about on the last visit, what I do for a living, what skin problems I've had in the past, etc. The rest of the office staff is friendly and professional, too. I also like that I never have to wait more than a few minutes to be called back from the waiting room. That's a big thing too! I highly recommend Dr. Edwards and his staff.

Had a horrible blister filled rash with a maddening itch on my wrists, neck and face. It was two weeks before my sons wedding and I was able to be worked in on an emergency basis. Byron was excellent in his diagnosis and treatment. He was caring and proficient. I was able to get things cleared up in a timely manner and appreciated being told the most cost effective treatments. After trying others in the area, I'm So grateful to have finally found an excellent dermatologist!!
