Shannon has been my nurse practitioner for close to a year and I could not be happier with my healthcare. She's extremely knowledgeable and intelligent. She has many connections to healthcare providers. For example, she was able to hook me up with an eye doctor (we're new to the area and I don't know anyone yet). She was able to help my husband get in to have his colonoscopy with an excellent physician as quickly as possible (since he was overdue because of our move). Appointments are easy to schedule without long wait times and the appointment itself takes as long as is needed; they are not rushed. Referrals are made quickly, and prescriptions are called in quickly, as needed. The convenience of having labs drawn at my appointment is important to me, rather than having to head out to a lab or hospital. Results are shared online quickly. Bedside manner couldn't be better! Most importantly, Shannon listens and she works WITH you!! Listening is the most important tool a healthcare provider has and sadly many providers forget that simple fact! I've had both in-person and telephone appointments with Shannon, and we can also communicate online. I am so impressed with Shannon that when my elderly mother and brother and his family relocated to VA to be near us I referred them to Shannon. They all love her as much as I do. My mom is suspicious of healthcare providers, but she goes on and on about how much Shannon has helped her. For reference, I have a Masters Degree in nursing.

Shannon has been my healthcare provider for many years and has saved my life! When others couldn’t determine what was wrong with me—Shannon started looking at my heart and got me the treatment that’s helped spare me from a heart attack or stroke! She is kind and caring but also very straight forward and no nonsense! Highly recommended.

Shannon Miller has been my medical provider for several years. She is caring, compassionate and does not make you feel like you’re just another patient. She does not rush your appointment but takes time to listen. She will research a situation if she does not immediately have the answer. Shannon is very prompt calling in prescriptions to pharmacy and will come to your home if you cannot get to her. Im forever grateful that I found her.

I really enjoyed my first appointment with Shannon. She is compassionate, listens well and gave me good advice. I am glad I made the choice to schedule the appointment and I will be switching to Shannon for my primary care.

Shannon Miller is wonderful. If you are looking for a provider who will listen, who understands that medication is not always the first answer, and who will go the distance to coordinate care, she is your person. Finding the right provider is so important, so if you’re searching providers on Google, take this as a sign you’ve found a gem. I have even switched my children to her (away from the bigger names in Cville) because she’s responsive and available when we need her. Thanks, Shannon!
