Dr. Mark Kanter - Peninsula Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery

I had an outstanding experience with Dr. Kanter and his team, from my initial consultation to my six-week post-op follow-up. The staff was incredibly helpful in navigating the insurance approval process for my medically necessary breast reduction, which took about two weeks. I scheduled my surgery after my vacation, and I’m so glad I chose Dr. Kanter. His bedside manner is exceptional—he explained everything thoroughly and ensured all my questions were answered at every appointment, including the day of surgery. What really stood out to me was Dr. Kanter’s dedication. My surgery was on a Friday morning, and although he was going on vacation the following week, he came in on a Saturday morning just to make sure I was seen, even though the office is normally closed on weekends. He also arranged for me to come in the following week, and while he was still on vacation, his assistant checked my drains and I spoke with Dr. Kanter via FaceTime. I am beyond satisfied with my results and would highly recommend Dr. Kanter to anyone considering this procedure!

This office gave a the runaround about treatment. Dr. Kanter stated he wanted notes from my previous surgeon. Terri made this big to do about getting the notes faxed over, when they had access to the same system the entire time. Then when he got the notes, he didn't even want to look at them, the wanted imaging....soooo, what was the point of making a big deal about notes you weren't even going to look at. Everyone knows how insurance works. Insurance stated they needed x-rays in order for me to get an MRI, Dr. Kanter refused order an x-ray. They refused the peer-to-peer or reconsideration for me to get the MRI. I just ended that relationship. Yeah, no thank you. My consultation was okay. The nurse was nice.

An experience with any doctor begins with the person on the phone, and let me tell you Terri is amazing. She is helpful, bubbly, and respectful which are qualities that are often missing in our fast paced world. I would highly recommend Dr. Kanter to anyone needing plastic surgery. He is honest, easy to talk to, and very encouraging. I had a large area of my scalp removed and needed a skin graft for a medical issue. My donor site is healing amazing and my skin graft was executed flawlessly. I am almost two months out from the procedure and could not be happier.

Dr. Kanter and his staff are absolutely amazing and made me feel totally comfortable. I cannot wait to see the results of my surgery. Dr. Kanter was very honest made me feel very comfortable and overall I’m just excited and cannot wait for the experience.. I truly believe in him and his work.

Had a breast reduction Feb 23rd 2024 and can’t be more pleased with the results. Dr. Kanter did a fantastic job on the surgery I’m super happy with the results. His staff is awesome, they are very kind and professional. If anyone is looking to get cosmetic or reconstructive surgery I recommend him.
