I’ve had 3 visits with Dr.Moore over the past year after moving back to the area. She is super personable and has been great with keeping up my acne care from my previous derm. I recently booked a hydrafacial and was surprised to find out half of the office has a more dedicated spa feel. Super fun to be surprised with the robe and slippers vibe! Def recommend and worth the drive for me!
I waited nearly a half an hour after my scheduled appointment time to be called back to an examination room. I would have appreciated it if the receptionist let me know that the practice was running behind schedule. When I finally saw Dr. Moore and her assistant I felt like they rushed through addressing my dermatological concerns. I do not recommend this place.
I've loved going to Luxe Dermatology. Dr. Moore is a wonderful physician. She's is attentive and her treatments have been effective. I’ve gone to Luxe for early appointments before work, and I appreciate how efficient the team is. I recently had a billing issue, and they were quick to sort it out. My new patient experience was off putting!!Before booking my first appointment online, I read through the reviews and saw quite a few negative reviews. I decided to take a risk and find out for myself, especially because they had availability to see me on my day off (President's Day). I drove 45 miles one way ..very excited to meet Dr Moore, and eager for her to perform a procedure on me that I texted the office about prior regarding what method was used. As soon as I opened the door to the office.. the vibe was off in the waiting area. The two young ladies checking patients in and out were not outwardly rude. However, they did not seem very hospitable to the two people in front of me and when it was my turn.. I was greeted with "Checking in?" | provided my ID and credit card, and explained that I did not want to provide my insurance card because when I received this procedure in the past, I know it's cosmetic and I don't want it to go through my insurance. The young lady at the front desk said "oh OK "and asked me to take a seat and fill out some documents. I advised her that I had already completed the documentation sent to me over the weekend prior to the appointment. She said this is different documentation.I clicked through the tablet to find that the first three documents were documents that l had already signed over the weekend!! I waited another five minutes and a medical assistant came out to get me at the front desk. She asked me if I have insurance. I said I do, but what I'm getting Is cosmetic and I wanted to pay out-of-pocket.. not go through my insurance.She insisted that I submit my insurance card because it's a medical evaluation. So I provided my insurance card. I was called back to room number one. She went over a couple of questions and asked why I was there. I explained to her what I wanted. She then proceeded to tell me that my appointment was only a 10 minute appointment and she didn't know if the doctor would be able to do the procedure that day, and she told me the price. At this point, I'm furious. If I had any indication that this appointment was only 10 minutes I would not have booked it. In addition, the price she quoted for the procedure seemed heavily inflated for what i'm used to paying .I received this same procedure from a different professional down the street (her office was closed Presidents Day). However, I will be going back to her.l waited to see the Dr. My appt was for 2:30pm. The Dr and the medical assistant didn't come back to see me until 3:30 ish. Dr. Moore had a warm greeting. She quickly looked over the area w/flashlight and said that they can do it, but they can only do a certain amount ..told her assistant to mark me up. At that point, I was so excited and happy because the Dr. could do the procedure during my appointment... not really processing the minimal amount for the cost until the medical assistant starting marking me up.. When it came to the area on my back that I wanted them to look at the assistant told me to take my shirt off and didn't even leave the room. (She just said please change into this gown.. it's ok we see naked bodies all the time). After she marked, which took less than a minute, I looked in the mirror and said this is going to be a waste of my time and money. I won't even notice a difference, so I said I don't want to proceed. She didn't do a good job of hiding an attitude .. maybe because she spent less than a minute marking me up and I decided not to proceed?! I asked for the restroom .. she didn't offer to take the white chalk marks off my face, so I went to the restroom in the hall to do it myself. On my way out I stopped by the receptionist desk and asked if there's anything else they need from me? They already had $100 co-pay. She said do you need a follow up appointment? I said no, and then proceeded to tell her why. She apologized. I received a call from Luxe Dermatology on my drive home. I was advised that I owed more money because of my insurance. I was livid. She transferred me to Anita. Anita was patient and kind!!!!
Dr. Moore has been treating my stubborn skin condition for about 2 years now. She is knowledgeable and personable, and I have had nothing but positive experiences with she and her staff. I now bring my teenage son to treat his skin issues.
