Maragh Dermatology - Warrenton

Left the practice after 15+ years. The front desk staff is absolutely terrible. I went in for an appointment and received a prescription that was called in with no instructions. Only verbal after care instructions were given when she wrote the prescription they used to print them out or include them on the medication. When I called to ask for instructions they told me I could come and pick up as if I was bothering her by even asking for medication instructions. This was the last straw for me. I also recommended a friend to the practice for a bald spot on her head (another doc diagnosed her with alopecia). She showed up at her arrival time on the dot and was turned away because they said she “needed to be there 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork”, which she already did online and told them. She was on the phone with me leaving the office 2 minutes after her appointment so I can confirm she was on time. The fact that they turned away a woman who had a bald spot on her head looking for help who was on time for her appointment was shocking to me. I called the office and left a message to inquire about this new policy as this has never happened to me or any family member, but never received a call back. After 15+ years, 5 family members being patients and referring many people to the practice I never even got a reply. On a medical note: I had a mole “removed” twice and it is still there. The last doctor I saw said “it can’t be frozen off, why would they do that? It needs to be cut out.” Wish I knew that the first two times they froze a spot on my face. I used to see the same person every time but the last few times it’s been a revolving door and they all say something different.

We were herded in like cattle and had surgery on my forehead the most painful surgery I ever had didn't wait to deaden it and was so rude about it and the scar because they didnt have time for Mohs surgery is unreal on my forehead even my doctor said I should go back and make them fix it. Would never go back , that was the facility in Ashburn

I’m sure it is a great dermatology center, but that doesn’t start with the doctors. Lizzie answering the phones should really use some etiquette and quit cutting people off regardless of the info she wants to share. Would’ve been the difference between me paying out of pocket to go there. I hear Dr.Maragh is great as I know so many people personally that see her, but unfortunately her receptionist is not worth it.

I called late on a Friday and they were able to get me in on Saturday. Service was quick and pleasant. They were accepting new patients. I initially had called another practice 2 miles closer and they were accepting new patients as well....IN JANUARY!!! But if I wanted an earlier appointment, I could go to one of their facilities 30 minutes away that was accepting new patients possibly in November. They transferred the call and it went to voicemail. And they never called me back. Lucky for me my next call was to Maragh Dermatology and they now have a customer for life!

Making an appointment was easy but finding the location was not. Front desk staff was pleasant and there was a short wait. Doctor and nurse were nice and personable. The problem for me was the cost. No discussion about cost just push the treatment. No discussion about alternatives. The treatment did not even work. Paid the bill but will not return. This practice treated me as a check book and not a person.
