If I could give her 0 stars I would.... She is rude , condescending, & definitely not caring. Those of you who like her I imagine have MONEY. I know she was referred by a West Point Grad , General. He thought was great. I would like to know how she can do a full body scan in less than 2 minutes? I love the people who work for her. When I have had an exam done by one of them they use a magnifying glass & sometimes a flashlight. She did remove a squamous cell from my Rt shin area but at my 6 mos visit tried to look at my left shin! The last time saw I her she did the amazingly fast exam.... Said I was good to do... I said what about my left ear.... I have showed her this post at previous visits.... She did a biopsy several weeks later & results were'negative.. She biopsied the wrong spot. I am now waiting to see s dermatologist in the Fredericksburg area! Stay away from this woman!
Been seeing Corvette for about 20 years. Have never had a bad appt until today. It was so awkward, she brought up me missing my last appt I missed since I couldn’t find a substitute (teacher). Unprofessional as if she hasn’t been my doctor for 2 decades. Not happy with how she treated me.
I'm a semi-retired therapist, and I found my new patient experience to be both rewarding and disappointing. The staff is amazing, and I found Dr. Corvette to be very knowledgeable, yet lack an understanding of the emotional considerations of her patient. Her extremely busy practice doesn't allow her quality time with patients. Her pleasantries seemed forced, contrive and not patient centered. Reminds of the saying, "I'll listen to what you have to say as long as you know I'm right." She's obviously a very intelligent woman, but my experience left me with the desire to look elsewhere for a follow-up visit. I allowed myself several days to make sure my expectations weren't overblown. I then looked over Google reviews and realized I was not alone. Dr. Corvette seems to be a product of her own making with so many medicare patients. In the end, no one wins. She deserves 3 stars, and it would have been 2, but the staff makes up the difference. Maybe she needs some coaching from them on personality skills and authentic listening.
No! Keep searching! I agree with the zero "one-star" reviews. The words rude, condescending, arrogant, controlling etc. come to mind. The only reason I went there couldn't get an appointment in a timely manner elsewhere and convenience, big mistake. She obviously doesn't rely on repeat "customers". After the first (and last) visit, I was so stunned at her behavior only then did I read reviews and quickly realized how awful that "doctor" is. The first interaction with her I tried to ask a question and was rudely interrupted and reminded that she is the doctor and when finished talking she will have answered any legitimate questions I may have. She reminded me of my old third grade teacher that if you spoke without permission, she would slap your hand with a ruler. In short, I have been treated better by an overworked underpaid Walmart employee! Worse yet, somehow, I agreed to an appointment for a full body scan with her PA. She looked me over quickly and said there is a place on the back of my arm and needs a biopsy (wanted to snip something $). Told her it has been there for years and has not changed, before I knew it arm was numbed, and procedure started. Obviously knew better than I (protégée of Corvette). Complimented herself of how she is a perfectionist for sutures and sent me on my way with instructions for care, which I followed to the letter. After two days arm was sore with redness and became so uncomfortable, I was losing sleep. Toughed it out several days and called to have it looked at, went in and unfortunately PA was on vacation and had to see Corvette again. Same results, rude etc., but instructed assistant to remove stiches, felt instant relief, the stiches were too tight, and wound was infected. Of course, no apology or fault admitted. Gave me a prescription for antibiotics. Surprisingly she asks me if I had any questions, I gave a resounding NO! She paused at the door and said she would like to "connect" with me. Ha, I had connected with her all I wanted. Final result of that fiasco is a scar far worse than the spot removed and three weeks of recovery. HMP
I ignored all the bad reviews and went anyway. Last time I’ll do that! To be honest I didn’t even read the reviews I just saw the practice didn’t have a strong star rating. Here is my experience- I went mid September 2020. Phase 3 of the pandemic. No one told me not to bring my child. I had no choice I had to bring her! She is 2.5 yrs old, not required to wear a mask per the governor. I walked in, filled out paper work, was called to the desk and was told since I brought my daughter they had to check with the provider (Dr CORVETTE) to make sure it was okay I was seen. “The provider” agreed as long as she wore a mask (they gave me a mask to fit an adult and had me put it on her) and stayed in her stroller. Honestly I had no problem with either of these requests. We go into the back and when I say this was the fastest exam I’ve ever had like 5 minutes maybe less. She then tells me she will tell me more about this condition and we can talk outside by the fountain!!! The reasoning for this because she has other patients on chemo and my daughter who has already been in the waiting room for 30-40 min and then in the exam room for at least 10 minutes the entire visit spent in her stroller. Was putting these other people at risk. I completely understand us talking for another 5-10 min in the exam room with the door closed is really putting the entire practice at risk! (SARCASM) At this point I was almost in tears. I just really felt awkward and just wanted to get out of there. I want to add the women at the front desk were very pleasant and nice and one even complimented my daughter about keeping her mask on when we were leaving. I met her by the Fountain and she unprofessionally explained my cyst condition (that I know and told her is genetic because my father and brother both get cysts) can be cured from eating less dairy, no sweets, changing my diet, losing weight, and wearing loose clothes. This women’s attitude was not friendly and her “suggestions” were unbelievable. She did fill me a prescription for a cream (gave no explanation on that). After all that about 4 hours later I get a call telling me she has signed for me to go to the surgeon to get them removed. I told the women on the phone that’s Dr Corvette made it sound like that was not an option. The woman said well guess she changed her mind. PLEASE PEOPLE LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS! Even if the other local dermatologist have a 1-2 month wait. It’s worth the wait!
