I scheduled an appointment to get a prescription for a retinoid to add to my skincare routine. Overall I would recommend Bloom Dermatology! I worked with Marlene and she was great! Super knowledgeable, listened to my concerns, and took the time to go through my skin care regimen. The appointment did not feel rushed, and Marlene was awesome and looked up the cost of the prescription at different pharmacies so I could make sure I was getting the best price. I don't think I've ever had a Doctors office do that for me, but it was greatly appreciated! And she hooked me up with several samples I could try out since I love learning about new skin care products! Also, it was super nice that when I called to make an appointment, they were able to get me on the schedule within a reasonable amount of time!
I had the BEST experience with Dr Voss. I was nervous to get my first lip filler, i have heard from a few friends that it is very painful, but after she numbed me up I only felt a little pinch here and there. I was so surprised! It was practically painless. She was extremely patient with me when I was deciding exactly what I wanted to do and answered any questions I had. She took her time and the results are amazing. I had Zero bruising! I cannot wait to go back and get more soon!
If a patient cries while working with the office post appointment, I feel this is worthy of a review. I’ve written maybe four reviews in my life but I feel very mislead and feel it’s important to share. No sympathy or understanding given by Bloom. I called to make an appointment, saying I know I’ll need a spot on my face removed cosmetically. They book me (for what I believe is a consultation, but that was never said) and I arrive for my appointment. They take my insurance and they say that cosmetics are not covered (so I’m assuming everything will be out of pocket since this is cosmetics). I have my 10 min max appointment where they say that I need Dr Voss to consult on it. While exiting I make that consultation appointment with Dr Voss and specifically ask what I’ll be charged for this appointment and they say “nothing”. I thought I had booked a consultation for that appointment and then they needed me to have another consultation with Dr Voss. Come to find out I was charged. I spoke with the office on the phone and shared how I was trying to be very aware of all charges and was given every indication that I wouldn’t be charged, the appointment also didn’t give me anything, I needed Dr Voss. I’m all about learning opportunities and said that I’m very new to this and was trying to understand everything financially since it’s a hard month for us and I was misled. No compassion on the phone. No sympathy. It was “how did you not know that?” attitude and tone. I proceeded to cry. I tried to learn ahead of time and then was being spoken to rudely. I said that I’d pay, but I hope that this could be a learning opportunity. I did not get a “we will try to learn from this” but rather it was a “well I don’t know what else we could have done?” type of response. I then said, well then, I guess I’ll write a review. I never cry, not even during two natural childbirths. This hurt and I tried to fully be aware ahead of time. For some people, every dollar counts and I asked questions at the front desk, during the appointments and over the phone about costs. I work in service and I’m shocked that they wouldn’t hear me and “see what they can do” given the situation and how many different occurrences gave me the understanding of something different than their reality. They already got 70+% of it through insurance. Service and client wasn’t worth it to even give it more than an hour’s thought. As far as advice, just work with Dr Voss, don’t book through anyone else because you’ll be charged for the NPs’ opinion, but not Dr Voss’s. I’m 2 months out and I’m not sure my face spot is going to be better. It’s worse now than it was, but I’m told to wait four months so I’ll update after four months. I’m choosing to trust that it will be better. I truly mean that. If they respond to this, thanks for making me cry in the phone and only responding when others can “hear “ it.
The receptionist was very nice then I went back with the check in nurse, she was very rushed and would not allow me to ever finish a sentence, she was very rude and made me feel like nothing I said was important enough for her to listen. She continue to interject every time I would try to say something as if to say, I have no time for this let’s move on.! This ruined the rest of the visit for me although I am being treated by the doctor I probably will not return. I don’t like being treated like I’m one in a herd of cattle being pushed through as quickly as possible. I will spend my money elsewhere.
I visited Dr. Voss September 13th for lip filler. I had a lip flip done by a great doctor in Spokane and decided after seeing the results to add more volume. He does not do Botox and then filler in the same session as he likes to see the results of the Botox first. I was headed back to Seattle and decided to keep my previously made appointment with Dr. Voss for filler. Day of my filler by Dr. Voss, both my mom via FaceTime, and my husband in person, noticed no positive volume difference. In fact, placement negated the lip flip. I had less upper lip than previously as it rolled it under. I called immediately that week and left a VM to express my disappointment and dissatisfaction and desire to have it fixed. The doctor left the country for one week and had her “longtime assistant” call me back who said she would work to get me in the Monday of her return and also encouraged me to give it another week for final results (however, what you see is what you get with filler). She gave me the impression she could work me in, upon her return, but morning of I called as I didn’t recall a time. She said sorry she could not get me in and then never made an effort to do so. I called and left another message with staff. Over a month went by! I then visited my parents again the week prior to Halloween and returned to the same doctor who did a nice job on my lip flip. He had also just done my mom’s lips and they looked great. He worked me in the SAME week I called for an appointment. He corrected my lips which were also lopsided. Also noted he would have never put filler where it was placed under my lower lips, but rather Botox. I called and expressed the correction to the assistant who said she wishes she could do something about my unhappiness and I should have “just showed up that [initial] Monday”. I said it is too late now and I gave ample time for Dr. Voss to see me and based on this experience I don’t know if I want to return for my future appointments. She then brought up a refund and she would run it by the doctor and her husband, the CFO, but no guarantees. I noticed nothing had posted, so I called today to find out if it was still processing. No notes had been made of this on my account. I then received a call from the doctor herself. She informed me she would not be giving me a refund and also during our conversation said “You are not paying for RESULTS”. I think it’s important to say I went to her more than 10 years ago for lip filler and didn’t see results at that time either. I made a point this time to tell her I wanted to see a difference. I guess it took going to another doctor who understands better placement see results. I also got the Botox equivalent to help my sweaty nose three years ago and had my forehead done. I didn’t have enough experience with Botox at the time to know the uncomfortable heavy eyelid feeling was the result of a drop. I didn’t complain about that at the time either. However, I think it’s time to voice my complaint. Other than going to the other doctor, these are my only experiences having Botox or filler. It is important to note how a doctor handles a dissatisfied customer. She was very confident in her abilities during my appointment and wasn’t afraid to say so, but finding out the **results** didn’t live up to the talk is disappointing and a complete waste of $600. Actually more than $600 because (1) It reversed the lip flip (2) I paid another $600 for correction, and (3) I will be getting another lip flip in December. Beware.
