I had a great experience with Ohio Valley Dermatology. The office staff was friendly, and the Physician Assistants & Doctors were very knowledgeable and attentive. They took the time to listen to my concerns and answered all my questions. My skin has improved a lot since my visit. I highly recommend!
I had my Mohs surgery yesterday and was a little worried but everything went fine. The staff, nurses and Dr.Hahn were all very nice to me.
Absolutely avoid*** ask around previous patients before scheduling anything. Had biopsy done. No results... call in 3 weeks to be told spots need removed. Asked for results to be sent to PCP. They called multiple times along with myself. Still no results sent to PCP. After telling others, I've been advised this is very common practices for Ohio Valley Dermatologist.
This experience was Dec 2022, but after having a family member have issues as well, I decided to share my experience. In May 2022, I was pregnant and found two strange moles. My PCP referred me here. I got the moles removed and tested. I was told they would only call if they found something. A few weeks later I get a call saying the moles were very abnormal and I needed to have more tissue removed, but since I was pregnant I needed to make an appointment after giving birth. Day of procedure I find a babysitter for my newborn, drive an hour to the Steubenville office, and pay a $40 copay. Dr came in, asked why I was there and looked at the areas. He then asked me exactly why I was there, as if I made everything up, because “there’s nothing there and I didn’t need anything removed.” I had another mole I was concerned about and he barely even glanced at it. He was literally in the room for 1 minute. I left and called the main number in Triadelphia to ask exactly what my appointment was for. She said it was to remove more tissue, so I explained that there was nothing there and no need to be seen, so I wasn’t happy paying $40 right before the holidays for no reason. She put me on hold multiple times and was getting very defensive. She then told me that the doctor said he offered to remove the tissue, but I refused. I asked what tissue he offered to remove, if there was ABSOLUTELY NOTHING THERE? I wasted hours of time, money, and my mental health for MONTHS thinking something was wrong that could have potentially been passed to my child, just to be treated like *I* was the problem. Do not recommend.
The staff was wonderful. But...we were told there would be a 1 hour wait for test results. My father is ninety and sat in a wheel chair for 2 hours waiting. He was in pain and tired by the end. Not good scheduling. They could do better.
