Forefront Dermatology Wauwatosa

The Wauwatosa office has been very difficult to work with. They misapplied our insurance in January 2024. They created a new account, merged my sons account with my husbands and in that process never correctly billed our insurance. I patiently waited for their "IS" department to correct our accounts, checking back monthly, but was never notified and then without ever reaching out to me sent our bills to a collection agency. it has been a mess. In addition, my son's appointments were at 7am and the receptionist was never ready. She often blamed the computers but had she gotten there on time she could have resolved those problems before our appointments. I've left numerous messages for office managers, I tried to reach out to a different location just for support and I never received any call backs. I asked to speak to the Dr but was told that wasn't possible. I have no issues with the Dr care we received but the office, finance and support staff was horrible. It is a shame that the providers do not see this as it represents them as a whole. I would definitely not go to this location.

I loved this dermatologist office! Receptionist was very nice and professional! I saw Dalton Menke and absolutely LOVE him. He sees you as a person and is so sweet and caring! His medical assistant (unfortunately I didn’t catch her name) but she was just as sweet and professional as well. As long as I’m in the area, I will be going here!

Everyone there was helpful, and professional. The wait time was negligible. The Doctor was great. She answered every question that I had an explained everything about what she was going to do beforehand. Overall a very good experience. Highly recommend this Doctor.

I have been going to Forefront Dermatology in Wauwatosa since March of 2023. I cannot in good faith recommend this practice to anyone even though the staff and providers are nice. Main Concerns: It is impossible to get anyone from the practice on the phone when you have issues. I was prescribed a biologic medication to treat a condition about a year and a half ago. As with many medications getting this approved through my insurance was a hassle which was further worsened by not being able to get anyone in the office on phone when there were issues getting things that the insurance company needed. You call their office, it goes to voicemail, you leave a message, there's no follow up. The same goes for the company portal. You send a message in the portal and no one ever replies. I had a conversation with the office manger about this a year and a half ago and voiced my concerns after I had to put in an extreme amount of effort just to get someone on the phone so my insurance could work to approve my medication. Thankfully after the medication was finally approved, I was able to do these injections at home and avoid going into the office. Fast forward to January 2025. I changed employers so my insurance changed and as a result I need a new priot authorization for the medication. I timed things so I got my medication in January and you take it every 3 months so I needed to start the process again. I reached out to Forefront Wauwatosa so I could get the ball rolling on this. I was told that not only do I need to come in for an appointment but that my provider I was seeing was no longer with the company ( was never notified of this otherwise). I explained that all I needed was a new prior authorization and that otherwise if I didn't change employers nothing would have changed, but they required that I come in for an appointment. This is after 2 weeks of trying to get someone on the phone to sort this out. I had my appointment on February 27th, I explained what I needed to be done and that it is time sensitive because I want to get this approved by insurance before my next injection is needed and we all know how things go with insurance. I explained also that it is nearly impossible to get people on the phone and I was given a few numbers to call so there would not be any issues. The appointment was maybe 15 minutes at most in which I was repeating info I already said on the phone, I was not evaluated etc. and in my opinion this was a waste of whatever I am going to have to pay for that visit. We are now 10 days post appointment and nothing has been submitted to my insurance. I have reached out on 2 seperate occasions, I reached out to my insurance provider to fax them the prior authorization, and still nothing has been completed and the clock is still ticking as we get closer to my next injection date. I do not think that it's too much to ask to have simple things like communication and submittal of paperwork done in a timely fashion but I am proven again and again that is too much to ask. Having to jump through all these hoops just to get someone on the phone and get things resolved is ridiculous, unprofessional, and certainly not worth the time and effort. I have voiced these concerns previously and told they would be resolved but that has proven not to be the case.

Had a very painful infected cyst on the back of my neck. I was able to get in very quickly. Dalton and his assistant were incredibly nice and informative about it all. Highly recommend
