Escondido Dermatology Inc: Chen Nancy P MD

I have been to Dr. Chen now for myself, and two of my children and I think she is fantastic. She is very efficient, has excellent bedside manner, explains things well and has solved all of their skin concerns. I especially appreciate how she explained to my preteen son how to take care of his newly acne-prone skin. She explained the science behind it and was great at being clear and concise. And she’s funny! My other so appreciates how fast she is. Shes a great doctor with a great personality. I highly recommend her!

i saw Dr. Chen as a child, and she helped me greatly. the same problem cropped up in a different place, so i came back. I'm in the exam room waiting for her arrival. they took me on time as the friendly staff helped me get my paper work done. (if you're a new patient, allow 25 minutes or so before the appointment to fill out paperwork and get your insurance in order.) she just arrived with a smile on her face.

I have been a patient of Dr. Chen's for about 7 years. I've seen other dermatologists, but none like Dr. Chen. Not only is she a great, well informed and current doctor, she truly cares about her patients. If you ask her opinion about a procedure she will honestly spend the time with you so you understand everything. I cannot recommend her highly enough. Her staff is also caring and friendly. Her office is clean and easy to get to. You will not be disappointed!

I was a patient of Nancy Chen for several years. While her personal competency is excellent, the practice is run like rush hour traffic in Los Angeles. Due to the hectic pace and nature of the office, call backs related to lab work etc., were significantly delayed in several instances. In one case the findings were significant, but until I called the office days after they received the results, I did not obtain the information. One office staff member working the counter area is curt, at times rude and appears to be an unhappy person. I had a removal that required closing and within two days of the procedure, I had a severe infection resulting in the stitches tearing out of my forearm due to the swelling. This brings to question the cleanliness of the room and supplies used on the day the procedure took place. I went into the office early in the morning two days after the procedure and shared with the office member above that I needed Dr. Chen to take a look at the obvious infection and provide me a prescription for an antibiotic. The staff member suggested I sign on the patient register and wait my turn. I asked her if when Dr. Chen moved from one room to another could she please have her check my forearm. I was informed that it would not be possible until my name in the order came up. After waiting 45 minutes or so I left the office and went to my primary physician who quickly noted the severe infection and gave me a prescription for an antibiotic.

Dr. Chen’s been my Dermatologist for almost 20 years. Same time each year she examines me and always checking and treating all pre cancer or questionable spots. Very thorough and simply the best. Being a pilot puts us in an environment exposing us to a high risk of skin cancer. Dr. Chen is the reason I’m safe year after year. She also sees my wife as well and always gives us peace of mind knowing Dr. Chen cares for all. Thank you Dr. Chen.
