Lawrence + Memorial Hospital

L&M is terrible. The nurses are very rude, the doctors don’t answer questions. They also don’t give you information that you need when you are trying to understand what is going on. My grandfather was pressing his button to get the nurses to come aid him and they weren’t coming. My mother went out and they were just laughing together - not being attentive at all. The rooms are extremely small and uncomfortable. DO NOT RECOMMEND BRINGING YOUR LOVED ONE HERE.

If I could give zero stars I would. I dread ever having my mom come to this hospital. Over the course of 5 years, they are nothing but rude, don't listen to the patient or the family. All they want to do is put an elderly person in a nursing home. They don't care if the patient is falling out of bed, the nurses are too busy laughing. And when you go to the nurses station and make them do something they are nothing but jerks. My mom was there January 2nd 2025, they didn't put a bed pan under her correctly and she had an accident. The aids who had to help her were making fun of her then twisting her so bad I could hear her cry down the hallway. THIS IS NOT A FRIENDLY HOSPITAL.

Visit to ER today. Nursing staff and support staff wonderful. However, the ER physician Dr M., should be ashamed of himself. He literally spent less than a minute in the room saying “you’re young and healthy, your EKG is fine so you’re being discharged. “ He did not ask about a medical history or complete an evaluation. Didn’t even have a stethoscope on him, so obviously did not even think to do an evaluation. Can’t wait for this bill for Zero care!!!!

2 years ago I was told by a nurse that I was here because of my "poor life decisions". I was there because of an assault. Naturally I had a melt down and none of the staff did anything but lock me in a room for being upset. I'm still so resentful and so hurt that to this day I have to talk to my therapist about it. It's midnight right now and it's bothering me to the point that I'm finally writing this. Like I actually lose sleep over this more often than I'd like to admit because she only further added to the TRAUMA. I'm so happy I moved away and never have to depend on the "care" provided here again...

There is a nurse in the ER by the name of Nancy who did a IV who was very mean about it when my grandson tried to tell her the ivy was hurting she squeezed the ivy. He deserves to be treated like a human being. Everything I heard about Lawrence and Memorial Hospital and some of the staff there is so true. God does not like ugly. I feel bad for you Nancy who works in the ER I am not happy with Lawrence and Memorial Hospital and some of the staff that working have. I've heard a lot of bad things about this hospital. Now I have experienced it it's so true how sad. I just can't believe that part of Yale New Haven Hospital
