**A Warning for Pregnant Mothers:** About a month ago, I developed an intense rash and severe itching all over my body. Unable to get a timely appointment with a dermatologist, I went to the ER, where I was referred to Dr. Halasz at the Norwalk Hospital dermatology clinic. While I won’t dwell on his and his assistant’s poor bedside manner, I feel compelled to share the more serious part of my experience to warn other pregnant women. After examining my rash, Dr. Halasz admitted he had no idea what it was (his words) but prescribed treatment for Lyme disease "just in case." He did not recommend bloodwork, even though he said the rash did not look like Lyme and that full-body itching is not typically associated with the disease. He advised that if it were Lyme disease, I would see improvement in a few days. When I didn’t, I stopped taking the medication. Thankfully, I had a routine checkup with my OBGYN shortly afterward. When I mentioned the itching, she immediately ordered bloodwork. It revealed I had cholestasis, a condition that, if undiagnosed, can lead to severe complications, including the risk of stillbirth. As a doctor with years of experience, I believe Dr. Halasz showed negligence and a troubling lack of care in my treatment. I hope sharing this experience helps other pregnant women advocate for themselves and seek second opinions when something feels off.

I’ve been in the care of Dr. Halacz for almost 50 years and he is always on the edge of the new discoveries and offering something that I might be interested in. I have psoriasis. He is personable funny and the staff is very professional and friendly they take their job seriously but they make you feel very comfortable.

Dr. Halasz would rather allow a patient to suffer from dermatological parasites than to prescribe Ivermectin as a remedy. He's allowed politics to cloud his misconstrued medical perspective and needs to focus more on the hypocratic oath he vowed to uphold. That is, the ultimate benefit of his patients. How sad, and what a silly little man.

Everyone entering the office is met with a smile. They are knowledgeable and take the time to answer all of your questions. I went to see Elizabeth Chou, PA for the first ever visit to this office. I had a few issues including parts of my hair stopped growing. She said that I would have to make another appointment for my hair as that takes about 40 minutes. So, I scheduled another appointment and went the next week and paid another $45. The appointment lasted 5 minutes! She kept talking about hair loss while I kept correcting her saying it is not about loss. She did not take a sample of my hair or order any blood. She could have told me that she has no idea why this is happening at my first visit. I am going to call my insurance company to block her from billing. Looking for a new doctor,, an actual MD.
