Dr. Sang Kim was exceptionally kind and attentive during my appointment! I was worried about feeling dismissed, but Dr. Kim carefully explain everything, put my mind at ease, and provided follow-up instructions. Her professionalism and genuine care made me feel valued as a patient. The entire staff was welcoming, and the clinic environment was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend Dr. Kim and the Connecticut Skin Institute for anyone looking for a dermatologist who truly cares!
Dr. Ibrahimi and his entire staff are top notch. I generally don’t leave reviews but really wanted to share my positive experience with this office. If you are looking for a kind, HONEST and humble dermatologist- Dr. Ibrahimi is your go to. I had Ellacor and Fraxel and amazed by my results. I plan to see Dr. Kim soon for a skin check.
Came here for a biopsy and left within 30 mins. Very efficient, everyone is extremely friendly and welcoming! Dr. Kim is a breath of fresh air!
I went to see Dr. Kim for my eczema. I started flaring up on my face for the first time and it was so severe my eyes would be swollen shut about 1-2 times per month. Many of the moisturizers I was using to soothe the eczema were clogging my pores and causing acne so I made an appointment hoping a dermatologist would be able to treat me for both eczema and the resulting acne together effectively. It just so happened on the day of my appointment with Dr. Kim the eczema was under control so she only treated me for acne despite me insisting that it was my eczema that I desperately needed help with. She prescribed a medicated face wash for the acne that only one pharmacy several towns over carries and that pharmacy wouldn’t accept Good Rx so I paid double out of pocket for it. The face wash irritated my eczema so I had to discontinue use. I made another appointment with her for my eczema when my eyes flared back up again. Of course it looked better by the time my appointment was scheduled so this time I brought pictures to show her. During that appointment I asked if she could recommend a good moisturizer and she recommended one that had been discontinued and I couldn’t purchase anywhere (Amazon included). I also asked which ingredients are known irritants for eczema havers with acne prone skin that I should avoid in skincare products and she said she didn’t know. I asked if powder foundation would be less harsh on my skin than liquid foundation on days when I wasn’t experiencing a flare up and she said she didn’t know. The appointment was completely useless. She sent me home with no answers and told me to keep doing whatever I’m doing because my skin looked good that day. I ended up having to call a telahealth dermatologist who was able to prescribe me the only medication that has helped control my eczema. Based on my own research I’m now looking into allergy testing to try and get to the root cause. Terrible experience, waste of time and money. Edit: the practice manager reached out to me after reading my review and offered me a recommendation for an eczema specialist outside the practice. She also offered some advice about which kinds of makeup and moisturizers to use and set aside a bag of samples for me to pick up. She followed up with me more than once and seemed genuinely interested in helping. Ultimately she asked me to remove my review in exchange for a refund of my copayments. I refused the refund and opted to edit my review instead.
Dr. Ibrahimi came highly recommended from my husband’s dermatologist then my husband’s become his patient then me then my cousin. I can say that our family are his patients. He’s been taking care of our skin problems or even we need an advices about our skin. I’ve been seeing him for my skin problems and scar issues and i have great results from the laser. Dr. Omar Ibrahimi is not only skilled cosmetic/laser surgeon but he's also the most considerate, honest, and ethical Doctor. It isn’t easy to find Dr. like this professional but honestly. I’ve been visiting him more than 2 years and I have to say that his experience and his knowledge was very helpful and I’m so happy about it.
