I can't even give 1 star. I have been trying to obtain a refill for my blood pressure medication for over a week. I called the office today and explained I was out of town if they could please authorize the refill until I return and am able to come in for an appointment. Honestly it is all about the money the fact that my blood pressure is high is not of importance to them.
Kanan Medical and Lydia are truly exceptional! Having a healthcare provider that values their patients and provides a welcoming atmosphere can make all the difference, especially in times of need. The fact that they go out of their way to accommodate you when you're sick, even with same-day appointments, speaks volumes about their dedication to patient care. Kind-hearted people with a good sense of humor are truly treasures. And when that kindness extends to a dedication to helping others, it's even more special. I highly recommend becoming an established patient with this office. They are very family like and if you take a minute to observe them accommodating both established and new patients you will see their dedication is superb. Kiddos to Debbie in the front office as well, always welcoming and very friendly.
Visit itself was fine. But they submitted my insurance claim to the wrong place and getting it fixed was a months-long nightmare. After months of leaving secure messages or getting sent to the billing department's voicemail, I finally instead pressed 0 to speak to the front desk and was told that the billing mailboxes are no longer monitored. Then every time I tried to call and sort it out, I got a different person on the line and a different answer, and they were very quick to try to push me into a payment plan when on no uncertain terms I stated I wanted to dispute the bill. It all finally got sorted out, just before the bill would've been sent to collections, but yikes.
I love Dr. Marsham. She's been my doctor for a few years. A great, loving woman who hears my concerns, helps me anyway possible, and has great bedside manner. I moved across Orlando but will still make the drive just to see her. Highly recommend her!
I have to say I'm very disappointed with Dr. Lydia Marsham. The first time I saw her she promised me that I found the best place to come to to get the best care and that she would take care of me. That was just an initial appointment. I then made a second appointment with her for a physical which had to be canceled because they stopped taking my insurance due to the contract expired. I was told to call them back in a couple of months because they were planning on renewing the contract. They finally renewed the contract and started taking my insurance again, so I made an appointment with her for a physical. My appointment was for today 11/29/23 at 10:00. I got there at 10:14 due to I had an emergency at home which I called them to tell them I was 5 minutes away and explained that my toilet over flowed. I didn't know that the late policy was only a 10 minute grace period for being late as most doctors give at least 15 minutes. It was only my second visit there so I was unaware of the policy. I got there and begged them to please just let me be able to see her as I took the day off of work and I was only 4 minutes passed the 10 minute mark and they refused me. They told me I had to reschedule because she was supposedly booked all day but yet the office was empty. Not even 1 patient was waiting to be seen. Unfortunately my insurance limits me on who I can go to but rest assured if I could find another doctor I would never come back to this place again. Now I wasted my time and gas to come here just to have to reschedule for a different doctor on another day. What is this world coming to where doctors can't even give you a break for being 4 minutes late for the first time. Especially when there's no one else waiting to be seen. Very bad customer service and if I could give her zero stars I would have!
