I had my first initial consultation and could not be happier. I arrived in some distress about an issue I had been battling over the past 3+ years. I finally went for a second opinion after not receiving much of any improvement in my conditions from a previous, good and kind doctor who has helped many others positively. I am not only impressed but immensely grateful to Dr. Sarah Howell and the entire staff, beginning with the receptionist. My appointment time was punctual, although I held up the process by the length of time I took filling in the initial paperwork. I was in such distress that I made sure to fill out all the information in as much detail as possible. After battling these conditions for so long I wanted to make sure I provided my doctor with as much information as possible. Even though I delayed the appointment time filling in forms, when I was finished with the paperwork, doctor and staff were generous with their time, kindness, empathy and respect; I was a blubbering mess! Doctor Sarah was very rigorous with her examination. After careful consideration and review she began a new treatment course for me of which she explained in detail, including handwritten notes for me to take home. I am writing this three days after my initial consultation and am realizing positive results already. I am so grateful for their understanding with me as a new patient. I honestly couldn't have asked for more. I received more than I was expecting in the services provided me. Thank you Doctor Sarah Howell and staff at Hawaii Dermatology and Plastic Surgery Center, Kailua, Pali Palms office. From my experience with this amazing team of practitioners, of which I include all staff members, I highly recommend their services to others suffering through the type of issues they attend to. They addressed my concerns with a kind, patient, and understanding attitude. The care I received has been competent, professional, and dispensed with empathy compassion, and detail.

Excellent service and care. Great communication re: conditions and treatments. Usually plenty parking in Pali Palms lot. Friendly and helpful staff; easy to schedule follow-ups when needed. Glad they are there!

I love my provider! But wasn’t really informed of the process on ordering medications for the office for my apt until after the fact, the lack of communication has made it a bit difficult to understand how to be able to set and keep my appointments but I would still recommend this facility. Please just ask/do your research on office protocols!

I've been seeing Dr. Bessinger at Hawaii Dermatology and Plastic Surgery Centers for 20+ years. I have referred family members and friends to the dermatology center. I have received exceptional treatment and for immediate treatment they have accommodated me within a day.

My husband and I saw Dr. Howell for skin cancer screening. She was very professional and office staff was very efficient and friendly! Only challenge was getting a timely appointment.
