My experience getting top surgery with Dr. Shore was exceptional. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is because Dr. Shore requires transgender patients to see a therapist before surgery even though this goes against the WPATH standards of care. I wasn't using any insurance and I still had to pay 125 dollars to a therapist I had never seen before in order to get what was basically a very expensive permission slip for surgery and it was honestly quite demoralizing to experience. It's needless and ineffective gatekeeping and I hope Dr. Shore considers removing this protocol from her practice.

Dr. Shore and Giselle are the best! I went in nervous about having a procedure and they both made it the easiest process ever. I’m so grateful to have been able to have the best care team for my surgery!

Dr. Shore performed my surgery this year and there isn't one negative thing I can say about her. Her professionalism and her expertise did show, and I'm so grateful and happy I chose Dr. Shore to perform my surgery. Her receptionist Giselle also acted in a professional manner and helped so much with insurance purposes, questions I had etc., and always responded back in a timely manner. I definitely recommend Dr. Shore to anyone who is seeking any type of surgery she specializes in. Thank you for everything. I had top surgery with Dr. Shore 7/2022, she was exceptional every step of the way. She answered every question I had (and I came with a hefty list), she was very responsive after my surgery when I had a concern (everything was fine), and her office angel, Giselle, is spectacular. I had to wait a while to get a consult but it was 100 percent worth the wait. My results are everything I wanted because she took the care to listen. I absolutely can recommend Dr Alison Shore and her practice to any transfemmes looking for top surgery. I felt so comfortable from the first moment I stepped into her office and as someone who can worry too much about healthcare matters that's genuinely not something I say lightly. I am utterly thrilled with my results and am so glad that I was recommended her practice.
