Plastic Surgery at Muskegon Surgical Associates

Dr. Zonca first consulted with me in 2021. I told him I wanted them bigger, fuller, and MUCH perkier, and provided him with goal photos. He said he could achieve that with an augmentation and would try exactly three different sizes during the operation and go with the one that best aligned with my goals. Within a few days after my surgery, the implants dropped and settled, which I'd later learn was due to having very little of my original breast tissue, primarily due to a substantial weight loss many years prior. Within just a couple months post-surgery, my left breast had developed the Snoopy nose/waterfall deformity. Dr. Zonca then admitted he should’ve done a lift along with the implants and offered to do it now. I wasn't thrilled with his presenting it as if he were giving me a discount by "waiving" his surgeon's fee, when I had already paid a surgeon's fee when it should have been done originally. He also referred to me as a “returning patient.” He assured me (again) I’d get the perky result with this lift. But it didn't, and I was so discouraged. Fast forward to March 2024, I went back after years of being frustrated with my results, giving him a third chance to do what he should’ve done in the first place. Words can't describe just how dismissive, uninterested, and unmotivated he was. He perfunctorily suggested we do ANOTHER lift, replace my implants with SMALLER implants, and add an internal bra that was supposed to help support. He ended his pitch saying, “You won’t be happy, and I will not guarantee the results.” I’ve since consulted with a different surgeon, and it's been a first-rate experience all the way. I shared with her my story and my unchanged goals. With my goal photos in hand, she was finishing my sentences for me, and we were precisely on the same page. I stated I wanted them to stay put during intimate time with my husband, and she was so compassionate, understanding, and empathetic. She assured me she could give me exactly what I wanted with MUCH BIGGER implants and a WAY more aggressive lift. She also discovered my nipples were four inches too low, which she pledges to correct as well as reducing the size of the areola. I contacted Dr. Zonca, seeking reimbursement for the $8,100 we had spent in two failed surgeries. His justification for his refusal was three years was too much time lapse (despite the industry standard of 10-20 years), the lift "discount", and a pregnancy, despite the fact my breasts looked like this before my pregnancy. I'm so glad I found a new surgeon and can't wait to see the long-awaited results, but it'll be of no thanks to Dr. Zonca. I would strongly urge all prospective candidates to consider a different surgeon.

Dr. Zonca gave me a brazilian butt lift and I have never felt better! It looks beautiful and natural which is what I wanted. Was debating going to LA or New York but I am so unbelievably pleased and thankful I went to him.

Dr. Thayer did a great job on my tummy tuck. I will be forever grateful for her knowledge and professionalism.

My experience with Dr Thayer was great. Unfortunately my surgery was scheduled a few days before Covid hit, so all my follow up appointments were masked and things were a little stressed due everything going on. Muskegon Surgical and the Staff were professional and made me feel comfortable at every step of the process. My results are great and I am so happy with my results.

She is so down to earth and follows whatever mood I’m feeling during my massage. If I’m talkative, she will talk. If I’m quiet, she will be quiet. Her technique never wavers no matter if she is talking or laughing. I can’t wait to schedule my next appointment!
