Dr. Osamuede Osemwota, MD

Overrated! I went to see Osemwota and I’ve never been to a doctor who was typically all about money. I asked about skincare she said that will be a $150.00 fee! I waited about 20 minutes she came in for 5 minutes saying a little of nothing! Rescheduled me for another appointment. I then received a 500.00 invoice she billed my insurance. So the visit was 530 including my co pay (for a first time consult 😮‍💨) Usually doctors give u a bit of advice. She offered Vitamins which was sold in the office. Too money hungry instead of really caring for clients!!!! Worst Dermatologist I’ve EVER visited!! I would certainly take my business elsewhere! Everything shouldn’t be about money when your really love what you do!!!

as an African american woman you really cant find a lot of black dermatologist and Dr. Osamuede is great. i had an issue and she personally reached out to me to make sure my issue was handled. thank you.

Her fees are obsessive. I can understand $25 for a late or missed appointment but $50-$75. My family will be looking for another dermatologist!!!!!

EDIT: Originally had given 3 stars (knocked off 2 for scheduling issues) but today 8 I saw Dr O and I was reminded how much I like her. She is extremely personable and is a thorough physician. She was able to address my skin concerns and then we spoke about the scheduling problem. I didn't do a good job bringing it up and despite that Dr O stayed in the conversation with me and talked it through until I could make clear what I was trying to say. She is aware of the scheduling issues and is working to resolve them but be patient because she's worth it. Really like Dr Osemwota but her scheduling system doesn't make sense. She has a 3rd party receptionist/scheduler and they are unable to book any appointments with the doctor. Ever. They cannot get me on her calendar. I'm an established patient looking for a skin cancer screening and the scheduler just says "Dr O has not provided her availability so I can't make you an appointment." I understand sometimes it takes months to get an appointment with a busy doctor, but they can't even book an appointment at ANY time. They just say call back in a week, maybe we will have her availability then. I have called 5 (!!) times to make this appointment and it was the same way each time, both with a female and a male staff member. I also emailed and received no reply. Sadly I think I need to find a new doctor although the whole family sees her.

Dr. O is very caring and attentive. She is incredibly knowledgeable and takes the time to walk you through treatment options. Everyone in the office is friendly and processional. The office is very efficient. You will not have to wait long (if at all) and someone always greets you right away. I highly recommend Dr. O, she is a skilled physician and very personable. She really cares about her patients. You will leave your appointment feeling well informed and encouraged.
