I was transferred from Carthage to Claxton-Hepburn and my experience was truly wonderful. Thank you Kim for accepting me as a patient. Thank you Megan for being such a great RN. Thank you to the wonderful lady that prepped me for surgery, I forgot your name, I apologize but it started with an A. You ma’am, shine so bright! And thank you Dr.Murphy for removing my gallbladder. Such a great team at Claxton-Hepburn. ❤️
I was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease when I was 17 years old. I was taken off work and disabled when I was 35 years old because of that condition and others. I am on 5-10 mg oxycodone per day for my pain. I walked into that emergency room at 7:30 p.m. with a spider bite on my leg. The redness around it was bigger than a basketball. They did immediately start me on IV antibiotics to take care of it. They also did admit me and took me to the second floor still on ivy antibiotics. I kept telling them I needed something for pain. At approximately 7:30 the next morning when I had had nothing and was in tears I told them I want my meds by 9:00 or I was leaving. They did not bring me any of my diabetes meds or actually any of my meds except for my blood thinner, my aspirin and a 5 mg oxycodone. I knew at this point that that would not help me so I refused them. I have had this disease for years and it is progressive. I know it is hard for some people to understand pain, but doctors and nurses should! At 9:03 when they had not help me the nurse came in and I had my meds with me and I took my own which I had promised her I wouldn't unless I told her and I didn't, but I couldn't take the pain any longer and I signed myself out AMA. Now I am home trying to take care of this infection because of what they did to me. This is not the first time either they did it to me once before years ago and I was in so much pain I called my son to get me, but before I left the doctor came in and gave me my correct meds. I understand there are big issues lately with pain medications, but there are people that actually need them. I tried to be a good person and not take what I had in my purse. I could not take it any longer! How can you in good faith take an oath to do no harm and actually harm people?
Bless all the nurses and my doctor (Dr. Wei) at Claxton Hepburn Hospital that took care of me while I was there 🙏🏼 They were all so nice and caring. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. It was so peaceful and clean. They were all so helpful and happy to do it. Thank you.
Fraudulent hospital! The doctors let my 70 year old father walk an hour and a half home at 1 in the morning (in the winter!) after being brought in to the emergency room by an ambulance and given a pill (that did nothing) and told to go home. Doctor came in and left. Shameful service should not be allowed to practice medicine.
I got send to the pysch ward and I’m diabetic, obviously their best idea is to put me on a bunch of medications that raise blood sugar as a side effect
