Dr. Fischer always take good care of me. I’m a weight loss patient, that had more than a few skin removals and I am so happy with my results. Thank you!!!

My experience with Penn Plastic Surgery, specifically Dr. Jessica Rose, was nothing short of a nightmare. I had a bilateral mastectomy and reconstruction back in 2013, and it was time to get my implants replaced. My original plastic surgeon has since retired, so I turned to Penn as the name and network is so reputable for quality care. I first met with Dr. Rose and went through all of the appropriate steps to have a second reconstruction (still covered by insurance as it is a breast cancer related surgery). Her demeanor was very dry and to the point, almost lacking any empathy towards her patients. I had reconstruction performed by Dr. Rose in 09/2023. From the moment I removed the surgical bra, I could immediately tell my breasts were drastically uneven. Voicing my concerns to her and visiting her office for countless follow-ups (she wanted me to have ultrasounds to see if there was fluid, wear extremely tight bandaging, etc.), she kept saying she “hoped” they’d even out (one side was much lower than the other and when laying down, a very noticeable crater appeared where the implant should’ve been resting). She ultimately decided that I needed to have a revision (redoing the entire surgery- removal of both implants and placing new) done where she would also add a “mesh shelf” to both sides to prevent the previous problem from reoccurring. I had a second surgery with Dr. Rose in 01/2024. The day of my surgery, I was contacted by Ashley (her administrative assistant) and was told no one ever got approval from my insurance so they’d need to do that and I rescheduled it for the next week (major inconvenience). I asked Dr. Rose about drains both times, and both times she said she’d place them but neither time she did. About one week after my surgery, I was in the most intense pain I’ve ever experienced and her NP, Becky (who is lovely and clearly cares for her patients), instructed me to go to Penn ER to make sure I did not have a blood clot. I spent seven hours in the emergency room, underwent X-rays, ultrasounds and bloodwork. Every time someone touched me, I cried, as it hurt so much. Dr. Rose eventually came in, seemed extremely rushed and essentially said everything was normal. She prescribed me Gabapentin and was on her way. I was discharged and eventually the pain dissolved (without me needing to take Gabapentin), however my breasts were still very uneven and one was extremely hard to the touch, essentially stationary (almost like it was frozen) and was still causing me pain. This did not go away, and my next follow-up wasn’t until 05/2024. I called a few times before then to see if I could have a sooner appointment as that one side was causing me a significant amount of pain and was so much more different looking than the other. Ashley (administrative assistant) informed me there was no sooner time, regardless that it was causing me persistent pain, and I would need to see her for the regularly scheduled date of 5/17. Desperate, I contacted a well-known breast surgeon who specializes in breast reconstruction in Manhattan who agreed to a consultation. I saw the new provider on 05/08/2024, to which he declared the condition (he called “great deformity”) “urgent,” and I had surgery just two weeks later as he believed it was necessary for immediate attention. He removed both implants and the “mesh shelf” that Dr. Rose put in. Additionally, I previously had tattoos of nipples as I could not spare my natural, and Dr. Rose butchered them, leaving half of one and about 1/3 of the other. It was horrendous. I’m so happy to say that my breasts are perfectly even, drains were used and my new provider completely removed the partial tattoos that Dr. Rose left. The entire process was virtually painless, and the hospital staff called me every day for about a week post-op to ensure I was feeling well. In conclusion, I couldn’t recommend Dr. Jessica Rose at Penn Plastic Surgery any less and if seeking breast reconstruction, I encourage you to look elsewhere.

Dr. Kovach and his staff are wonderful. I had reconstruction surgery. It has been about 4 years now and my scars have healed beautifully. I also always felt comfortable discussing my care plan with Dr. Kovach. He was never one to make me feel rushed or like he wasn't listening to me. I highly recommend him.

I couldn't even follow up with the procedure I needed. The surgeons' assistants LACK OF SERVICE on a timely manner (unless you keep calling the office and PUSH THEM) makes you feel frustrated. What a waste of time!

Look elsewhere. They will mess you up and do nothing about it afterwards.
