Dr. Heffelfinger and his entire team is very professional, helpful, and knowledgeable. His staff is very enthusiastic, happy and willing to help the patients. Ever since my fist visit , I have been noticing this fantastic service provided by him and his staff. Dr. Ryan knows his job. I was frustrated in the beginning but he explained my condition in detail. His assistant nurse was very explicit about what to do and what not to do post surgery. Dr. Heffelfinger is the best! He listened to exactly what I wanted in my nose job and it came out perfect. I would highly recommend him if you’re looking for a doctor in the area!

Mr. Heffelfinger was very personable, funny and could not have asked for a better surgeon to do my surgery. He dd a phenomenal job.

Dr heffelfinger is one of the founders of the Facial Nerve Center at Jefferson. My son had an appointment with him that went poorly. He spent very little time with him and as my son reports acted as if he was seeing the wrong dr for his facial paralysis. He started the appointment with why did you come here? I can’t help you. Compassion and kindness goes a long way. My son has been through a very stressful time. Not being able to move your face is very scary, especially for a young adult. My son’s paralysis may not need treatment at this time, perhaps time is the treatment right now, but there is a kind way to communicate this information. Not in a rushed you are wasting my time way. Maybe it would have been helpful to give him tips on how to care for his eye that can’t properly close, so that he does not damage his cornea. Or to give him information on how facial nerves heal. My son has been very positive in dealing with his paralysis and came home from the appointment despondent and negative. As a parent this is extremely upsetting. I booked the appointment for him based on what I read on his website and was hopeful he was a Dr that truly was an expert in his field. That may be true, but it was not shown in this office visit. In hindsight this appointment was a detriment to his recovery process and I’m upset with myself for making the appointment. The office staff was nothing but kind.

Dr Hefflefinger is an amazingly understanding and intuitive physician which are important qualities in cosmetic surgery. Cosmetic surgery is so subjective and so dependent on the personality and expectations of the patient. Only by carefully listening and understanding what a patient hopes for and dreams of can there be a successful outcome. Dr Hefflefinger is very skilled in this. His work - what he has done for me and what I have seen in the waiting room - is natural and subtle. I recommend him always and am always willing to tell people who remark on my appearance being more youthful than my age (74) who my surgeon is.
