Baylor Scott & White Cosmetic Surgery Center - Temple

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in November 2019 and had a bilateral mastectomy in January 2020 followed by chemo and radiation. Dr. Altman has been my plastic surgeon from the beginning (referred to me by my surgeon) and he is the best! He is so kind and understanding. When I was first diagnosed, he explained everything in a way that non medical people can understand. Before each of my reconstruction surgeries, he explained what he would be doing and then he listened attentively to all of my questions and answered them. I am very pleased with the results. After about six months, I was able to get my nipples tattooed. Trina has done an amazing job! She does excellent work! And she is also a genuinely nice person. I am still amazed at how real my breasts look and it makes me feel normal again. It was the thing I needed to complete this very long journey I’ve been on. Also, a shout-out to Desiree who has scheduled my many appointments. Thank you all!!

When you look at these reviews, pay attention to dates. When I first got my referral to this place, the reviews were awful. I didn't even call to schedule an appointment. 4 ish months after I got the referral, I got a call from the office to schedule my appointment and I kind of chuckled and told them that they called after that long. When I asked who the doctor that I'd be seeing, they said Dr. Lance. He was not in any of the reviews yet because he was new. I decided to go through with the appointment. I was hesitant because I had my first breast reduction in Georgia, and it was a horrible experience. The first appointment went absolutely great. Dr. Lance and his staff were incredibly nice and made me feel very comfortable, which is actually a really hard thing to do for me. He listened and noticed everything that I wanted fixed, and it made me feel confident in him. We had some problems with my insurance. That was no fault to this office. Michael Padilla was so good at helping me and giving me all the info i needed. I appealed it, and it got approved. We immediately set up the surgery date. Surgery went SO GOOD! I felt amazing after. Of course it's surgery so I was in pain, but it was controlled and tolerable. The staff was very friendly and comforted me when I was feeling nervous. I had a lot more follow ups then I was expecting, but I was honestly excited to go. Have to give a shout out to Surraya Burkard! She was so kind and made me feel so comfortable. I wish I could remember each name the staff that helped me because every single person I had an interaction with was fantastic. I can not say enough good about this place. I'm so happy with my results and so happy with the staff. I have told people out of state that they are worth the trip! Thank y'all so much.❤️

Dr. Lance and Dr. McGraw did an AMAZING job! I couldn’t be happier with my outcome. Everyone asks if I got implants with my reduction but I didn’t. If you’re looking to get a breast reduction/mommy makeover; I highly suggest Dr. Lance as your primary! The whole cosmetic department was wonderful from start to finish. Thank y’all so much!

Dr. Samuel Lance is a truly incredible doctor and even better human being. During the consultation he was so warm and genuine and really took the time to listen to my concerns. He even went a step further by following up with questions to gain understanding and ensure we were on the same page. And my results?? Better than I could have ever imagined. Not to mention how attentive he was in the post-op appointments. He's an all around gem and trust me, folks, THIS is who you want in your corner and operating room. I'm completely comfortable and willing to share (and often do unprompted in public lol) that I had a breast reduction, abdominal separation repair and lipo along my waist done by Dr. Lance. I will never go to it again. I love Dr. St cyr but the PA Lauren is the worse. Not only did she call me in Houston and demand that I return that because of a possible infection which I had already discussed with a doctor. She also felt it necessary to have a loud conversation with a colleague outside the door to my exam room saying he would be there if Dan got loud. Then she came in told us our dog was not allowed and asked for documentation. BTW It is illegal under Federal law for anyone to require documentation of a team. Many disabled individuals choose to provide a vest for their Service Dog and/or carry identification, however it is not required that they do. You may encounter a disabled individual who chooses to keep their disability private. It was obvious she was trying to pick a fight so I had to tell Dan to leave with my service dog. She spent 20 minutes playing with my drains and then told me my left side was infected and I had to go back to be admitted to the hospital. Well she was wrong on both counts not only did the doctors take out all the drains they also sent me home because there was no sign of infection.
