These are pictures of my face after getting the IPL for the first time. (Even though the accident happened at the first IPL they won't refund me the rest of my 6 IPL treatments.) I got burned and there were scars all over my face. They told me these scars will go away in 6 months because they will give me the "Expensive Lasers". They don't have a Doctor in the clinic nor the actual plan to treat these scars. What they gave me are Lutronic spectra, Chemical Peel and Microneedling. My life becomes difficult; I have to put sunscreen on my face every 2 hours, wearing a hat and face mask, avoiding the sun and I had to quitted my job because my face was peeling every month. After wasting my time with this clinic for 2 years the scars on my face are not getting any better. These scars became permanent and Melasma on my forehead and 2 sides of my cheek plus my face became sensitive and I got so many breakouts. Finally they told me that they will stop giving me a free treatment if I want to continue treating these scars I will have to pay for it.

I have been with Althea Medspa for almost 2 years. I do not want to give any of my opinion too soon. I really like this place. Their charge is reasonable. The place is not fancy. I guess this might be one of the reason they can keep the price affordable. I especially like the owner's honest. She really tried her best to take care of me. Now my skin looks much better. My brown spots which have been bothered me for so many years, now are almost all gone! They do not push you to buy anything.

I've had great (pain-free) experiences at Althea Medspa with hair removal - and Mirna has been delightful. I went to another place in Virginia before Althea for 3 underarm treatments and it was incredibly painful. The followup sessions at that place were very expensive (the first 3 were a Groupon) so I never went back. Then I found Althea and I've been a loyal customer ever since...

If you had asked me last year I would have said horrible service. I didn’t like my technicians, they kept changing, I got yelled at twice, and I didn’t see much results. I had paid them so I was going. 2 months back I reluctantly went for my last appointment and to my surprise there was someone who was interested in my progress. Who listened to me and said she would take care of it. Cheryl is amazing person. Detailed oriented. I can see she is putting her heart, sweat and blood into the business.
